Rockaways' Palomino Receives Commission as EarthKeeper 
Global Ministries will commission 67 new EarthKeepers from 23 conferences in an online service on Nov. 19 at 8:00 p.m. at including Yesenia Palomino from UMC of the Rockaways. This service will affirm the EarthKeepers in their call to the ministry of creation care and will bless their work in their communities.

Laity Leadership Academy Seed Grant Apps Due Dec. 7
The seed grant program is offered to teams of lay leaders who have attended the Laity Leadership Academy and completed an action plan to develop a project/initiative in their local church around the areas of worship, small groups, making new disciples and social media communication ministries. Equal Rights Amendment is Official
UMNews reported, "After a revote, United Methodists around the globe have amended the denomination’s constitution to proclaim “men and women are of equal value in the eyes of God.” The newly adopted measure also commits United Methodists to work toward ending discrimination against women and girls."
