Free Family Funday

Sunday, November 10 • 12 pm - 2:30 pm

Join us at The Mennello Museum of American Art on the second Sunday of every month for free admission, a free miniature fine art project and free museum tours. Each Free Family Funday has a different theme based on the current exhibition in the museum. This Fall we're exploring the photography of Edward Steichen.

This Sunday, we will be mining contemporary fashion photography and adding our own highlights in the medium of gold leaf, paying homage to Edward Steichen as the first fashion photographer and his elegant use of gold leafing on his Camera Work supplement featuring Mercedes de Cordoba and In Exaltation of Flowers mural.  Hope to see you there!

Fine art project and docent touring: 12-2:30 p.m. The museum galleries stay open until 4:30 p.m. for all guests.

Indie-Folkfest 2020

Saturday, February 15, 2020

The time has come to announce the 2020 Indie-Folkfest Artist of the Year, Boy Kong and his limited-edition artist driven logo!

Save the date for the 6th annual Indie-Folkfest at the Mennello Museum of American Art, taking place on Saturday, February 15, 2020!

Located in the museum’s Marilyn L. Mennello Sculpture Garden, the event is a family and pet-friendly festival that celebrates community, gathering for the arts, food, and local artists. Since 2016, we have invited talented artists the likes of Hillery Powers, Andrew Spear, and Peterson Guerrier to design their own unique art editions to create prints and adorn shirts as our Indie-Folkfest Artist of the Year.

Featuring local and regional art where live music is coupled with craft beer, cocktails, and hyper local vendors, this picnic results in a community-rich event that delivers positive cultural experiences to Central Florida residents and their families of all ages.
