As last week (1st-7th June) was Volunteers Week, we are celebrating four inspiring volunteers who have given up their time to support amazing National Lottery funded charities, and their local communities, since the outbreak of COVID-19...
1. Amma, Little Village, South London
Amma is a regular volunteer at Little Village- a charity that is delivering bundles of essential items to struggling parents and children across London.
2. Lucie Castleman, Wiltshire Music Centre, Wiltshire
Lucie is a long-standing volunteer for the Wiltshire Music Centre who is helping run their virtual 'Zone Club'- a creative group for young learning-disabled adults, aged 16+.
3. Jeanette Lynes, Warm & Toasty Club, Essex
Jeanette is a key figure and official 'Biscuit of the Week' judge at Colchester’s Warm and Toasty Club, an inter-generational befriending club that is hosting weekly virtual Memory Afternoons.
4. Robin, The Devil's Porridge Museum, Dumfries & Galloway
Robin joined the team in 2017 and is easily recognisable in the museum as he is often seen volunteering in a kilt!
