The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer went virtual this year, meaning participants could ride anywhere, any time and for any distance in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Over the past 11 years, the Ride has helped raise more than $80 million to improve cancer treatment, research and care in Alberta.

In August, the Alberta Cancer Foundation hosted a series of drive-in events – including live screening of the Calgary Flames playoff games - at the Calgary Stampede grounds.
Funds raised were in support of groundbreaking cancer research, treatment and care for cancer patients in Alberta. The Albertans Helping Albertans Drive-in for Charity event was in partnership with 1 Pop Up, with the support of our generous sponsors PCL Construction, Enmax and Landmark Cinemas.

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with the Government of Alberta to help provide $15 million towards CAR-T cell therapy, a game-changing cancer treatment. Alberta will now be the third province in Canada to offer this innovative cancer therapy.
The Alberta Cancer Foundation has committed $4.9 million to this specific clinical trial program run by Dr. Michael Chu, a clinician and researcher at the University of Alberta’s oncology department.

After being let go from his job due to COVID-19, David Cormack from Calgary decided to embark on a cross country ride across Canada in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation. He drove from Duchess, Alberta to Kingston, Ontario, covering 3,600 kilometres and to date has raised over $6000, making him the 8th highest individual fundraiser in the 2020 Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer.
