Below is a sample of the emails you can expect to receive when signed up to AMP by Strathmore.

Dear Alexander,

It's undoubtedly an odd time to be planning a performance season. Many of our programs won't play out as initially planned and many have shifted from their original dates. But at Strathmore we're looking forward-to being together again; to experiencing the magic of live music as a community; to presenting innovative work that reaffirms our support of artists and a wide range of audiences.

We understand that it may be difficult for you to plan ahead, but we hope you'll take a leap of faith with us by planning to attend future events. Your purchases and your commitment to join us as a member during this time make a tremendous impact on our artists, students, and community.

Rest assured that while we are programming and planning with great optimism, we will always put your safety first. We're updating our protocols and procedures with your comfort and well-being in mind as we prepare for your return. Should we be unable to hold any event, you will be able to exchange your tickets or receive a refund-without exception. We hope that these policies help you purchase with confidence.

With gratitude,

Joi Brown
VP of Programming/Artistic Director

P.S. We hope you're as excited about these new shows as we are! Members can purchase tickets to the events below right now, and if you join today for as little as $65, you can access the presale immediately.

Artistic Highlights

Parable of the Sower
on April 1 & 2

This triumphant theatrical concert of rare power and beauty illuminates deep insights on gender, race, and the future of human civilization. With music and lyrics by Toshi Reagon in collaboration with Bernice Johnson Reagon (Sweet Honey in the Rock), this compelling work gives life to Octavia E. Butler's acclaimed novel of the same name.

Making the Music: Anais Mitchell, Duncan Sheik & Shaina Taub on February 19

With a line-up that reads like a who's who of the Tony Awards, this special concert brings together three outstanding singer-songwriters, whose musical visions are currently energizing Broadway, for an intimate evening of songs and stories.

Step Afrika! Step Xplosion on February 28

Step Afrika!, the world's only professional step company, curates this showcase of the best step teams from across the country. Step is a percussive dance style that integrates songs and storytelling into a highly entertaining, interactive show.

Our Native Daughters featuring Rhiannon Giddens on March 15

Giddens teams up with kindred musicians to create "a crucial pronouncement in folk music" (Rolling Stone) that shines new light on African American women's stories of struggle, resistance, and hope.
