2020 ATLANTA ARTADIA AWARDS APPLICATION
OPEN THROUGH OCTOBER 15

The 2020 Atlanta Artadia Awards application is open September 15 - October 15. Artadia Awards are selected through an open application, two-tier jury process that combines local expertise with outside perspective from leading curators. For the Atlanta Awards process, jurors will select five Finalists to conduct virtual studio visits with, after which two Awardees will be determined. Each Atlanta Artadia Awardee will receive an unrestricted grant of $10,000.

Andrea Andersson, Founding Director & Chief Curator of Rivers Institute for Contemporary Art & Thought will be presenting a free virtual public program with Atlanta Contemporary on September 17, 2020.
Accompanying Andersson are Kara Tucina Olidge, Executive Director, Amistad Research Center at Tulane University, and Cameron Shaw, Deputy Director and Chief Curator at the California African American Museum (CAAM) in Los Angeles.

Adrienne Edwards, Engell Speyer Family Curator and Curator of Performance at The Whitney Museum in New York City in conversation with Huey Copeland, Interim Director of the Black Arts Initiative, Arthur Andersen Teaching and Research Professor and Associate Professor of Art History at Northwestern University, for a free virtual public program with The Department of Exhibitions and Exhibition Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago on September 30, 2020.

A portion of the proceeds will go towards a nonprofit of the artists' choice with Summer supporting Artadia and The Innocence Project.

Since launching in April, Artist Relief has distributed $13 million of emergency relief directly to artists and supported 2,600 artists with $5,000 grants. Artist Relief is thrilled to welcome CERF+ - The Artists Safety Net and The Design Vanguard as our new Field Partners.
On September 3, Artadia and Artist Relief hosted a new Conversation, part of Artist Relief''s Conversation Series, titled "Reimagining Art for the New World." The conversation brought together members of For Freedoms and Wide Awakes to discuss the art community''s role in the age of COVID and the possibilities ahead.
