Completed construction on: Pullman Artspace Lofts in Chicago, Trinidad Space to Create in rural Colorado, and the Oglala Lakota Artspace on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
Provided free consultations and technical support to over 125 organizations through Artspace's consulting department, helping arts organizations navigate the unique challenges 2020 presented.
Artspace''s consulting department continued to meet virtually to complete the Artspace Immersion program in Memphis; and welcomed new Immersion cohorts in Detroit and "The Rocks" (Little Rock and North Little Rock, AR).

As we move through these uncertain times together, we at Artspace want to ensure our buildings remain places where artists thrive, and strong communities are built. Our buildings provide affordable homes to some 2,000 low-wealth artists and their families, as well as stable space to over 600 creative enterprises, small businesses, and arts and culture nonprofits in 22 states across the country.

As unemployment continues to grow and incomes further decrease, the COVID-19 crisis is impacting the people we serve the most: low-income artists and their families, arts organizations, and small businesses.

By supporting the Artspace Annual Fund, you can help us fulfill our commitment to mitigate the harm of this intense economic disruption on our creative communities.

The Artspace Asset Management team is working closely with their local property managers in each of our buildings to ensure residents are informed, safe. We are waiving late fees, implementing eviction moratoriums across our national portfolio, exploring payment plans with all residents affected by the crisis, and doing all that we can to maximize security for our residents. It is unclear what the long term effects of this pandemic will be, but we at Artspace are acutely aware that it is impacting the livelihoods of the people we serve all over the country.

Here's how we are supporting the artists and families who live in our buildings:

Evictions on renters affected by COVID-19 are suspended, absent extraordinary circumstances and in accordance with Federal and State mandates.
Late fees are waived for both residential and commercial tenants until further notice
Rent increases will be suspended until further notice
We continue to provide additional resources for our renters, artists, and arts organizations on our website: www.artspace.org. Additional city and state housing resources, and other supportive services specific to COVID-19, may be shared by our property management companies.
