Below is a sample of the emails you can expect to receive when signed up to ASSAY ASSURED.
Dear David,
Thank you for creating a user account as part of your Assay Assured application. Your user account has now been activated. You may log into the site by selecting the retailer login option at the bottom of the home page. Use the email address
the password that you have used to set up your account.
Once you are logged in please add your company information. Please note that the name and address of the company entered here will be displayed on your Assay Assured Jewellery Retailer certificate. You might therefore wish to use your trading
address and company name.
An Assay Assured auditor has reviewed your user and company information we can then enable access to complete our pre-audit process and add your website.
Once you have done this the next step is to enter your website details and fill in the pre-audit form. Please log back in to your Assay Assured account, select add a website and follow the online application process.
After you have completed this step, we will conduct an audit of your website to ensure it complies with Assay Assured standards. If there are any changes required or any recommendations these will be detailed in our post audit feedback.
We will then invoice you and release your Trustmark.
Assay Assured is a Trustmark, rather than a hallmark, it is important as more and more people are buying products online. However your customer may be wary of buying jewellery from an online store, they only see the product after they’ve
bought it and they want reassurance that what they’re buying is the real deal. With Assay Assured, your potential customers can see that you are taking an active interest in their confidence and peace of mind with their purchase from you. They have a guarantee
that your items are accurately described. Your site has been independently verified and we can provide arbitration if you can’t resolve an issue with your customer. Along with this we have regular testing of underweight items. All of these consumer benefits
then in turn benefit you by increasing consumer trust, building brand image and improving your conversion rate.
When we audit your online shop we sample a statistical proportion of individual product descriptions, from across the site, taking into account the number of individual products you carry. This includes a range
of the standards of metal from silver through to platinum. We check each one to make sure all of the details are present and correct with regards to the description of items. Once we have completed this process we give you a list of recommendations based on
our criteria. As our recommendations are based on a sample of your website so may need to be implemented across as wider range of items.
We use a stepped pricing system as we must determine the risk of Assuring your website. This can be affected by factors such as your membership to trade organisations, if your branded goods come directly from
a reputable source. Other factors include the number of hits on your website as this can influence the amount of traffic through the Assay Assured button.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries.
Kind regards,
Audit Team · Assay Assured ·
