Australian Made is taking Australians behind the scenes and into the local factories, workshops and farms of some of the country’s most innovative manufacturers with its ‘Australian Makers’ video series. This month, meet Budgy Smuggler's General Smuggling Manager, Brenden Hartmann - a driving force behind the Manly Beach based swimwear brand making more than 40,000 pairs of colourful swimwear locally each year.

The Australian Made Campaign is urging shoppers to support local manufacturers, farmers and retailers this Christmas by looking for the Australian Made, Australian Grown logo. Australian Made Campaign Chief Executive, Ben Lazzaro, said the instantly recognisable (99%) and widely trusted (92%) green and gold kangaroo logo is the easiest way for shoppers to identify authentic Aussie products.

New Chairman announced for the Australian Made Campaign

The Board of the Australian Made Campaign has appointed a new Chairman in Allyn Beard, Director of Sydney-based mattress manufacturer A.H. Beard. Mr Beard succeeds outgoing Chairman, Glenn Cooper AM, Chairman of Coopers Brewery, who retired from the Board after 13 years as a Director.

Australian Made logo now protected in the EU, UK and UAE

The Australian Made Campaign is thrilled to announce the famous green-and-gold kangaroo Australian Made, Australian Grown logo is now a registered trademark in the European Union, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. A win for Aussie exports, the registration of the symbol means the iconic logo is now legally protected under local EU, UK and UAE law, with only certified Aussie makers and growers allowed to use it.

Australian Made and Primex unite for Australian agriculture

The Australian Made Campaign is pleased to announce its alliance with Primex Field Days, forming a new relationship to support and further promote the growth of the Australian agriculture sector. The Australian Made logo has confirmed its international appeal, with new Horizon Consumer Science research finding 97% of overseas consumers have a positive first impression of the iconic green and gold kangaroo*. The research, which was carried out in six diverse export markets, found that more than two thirds (70%) of consumers spontaneously recognised Australia as the country of origin for products carrying the logo. Trust in the green and gold kangaroo was also high, with 85% confident products carrying the Australian Made logo are genuinely Australian.
