I am SO excited to reveal our plans for the January-April term of Authorfy Club... We announced our first ''Author of the Term'' on social media yesterday and are thrilled to reveal that Maz Evans (bestselling author of the ''Who Let The Gods Out?'' series) will be teaching students about writing effective dialogue, creating believable characters and more. We''ll be announcing our other four authors very soon, but to celebrate Maz joining us next term, we''ve got a special ?10 off code for anyone that orders a school Authorfy Club Box before 8pm tonight (1st October 2020).

How does Authorfy Club work?
- It couldn''t be simpler to run your own Authorfy Club. Just place your order, promote your club using our pre-prepared letter template and assembly video, look out for your box of resources at the start of January and everything else has been done for you! There''s no planning and no marking required (we design the workshops so that you have as much fun as the students!).

What''s in the box?
- Each box includes 12 week''s worth of lesson plans (one session per week), activity packs for students to take home, certificates, prizes and more. You''ll also get access to exclusive writing challenges from our ''Authors of the Term'', plus register templates and more downloadable resources on our exclusive Authorfy Club website page.

How can we raise ?1000+ for our school?
- An Authorfy Club Box costs ?180 (including VAT and postage), which is the equivalent of just 75p per student, per session. If you therefore charge parents as little as ?2 for their child to attend, you could cover the cost of three club boxes and raise an additional ?1000 for your school in a year! Alternatively, you could use your Pupil Premium budget and invite select students, use your English budget to boost writing for pleasure with your more reluctant writers, or simply fund the club via a cake sale or something similar.

I can only run an Authorfy Club with my bubble next term. Is there a discount if another teacher wants to run a club, too?
- Absolutely! Just send us an email at info@authorfy.com if your school would like to run more than one Authorfy Club next term and we''ll get back to you with more information.

Dear Authorfy Army,

If you''ve been thinking about running an Authorfy Creative Writing Club at your school, ordering a box for the autumn 2020 term now comes with a few added extras... In addition to the physical boxes that come in the post, we''ll be sending a digital version of the lesson plans, worksheets, activities and certificates so that they can be shared amongst several classes / bubbles or even with students at home.

Yes, this means (for the autumn 2020 term only), you won''t be limited to just 20 students in the class. You can involve the whole school if you''d like to, at no extra cost.

We know it''s been a trying year and that from September, schools may have to focus on core subjects only, so this is our way of adding a little creativity and helping to boost writing for pleasure when children go back to school.

And don''t forget, if you run the club with 20 students, it works out at just 75p per student, per workshop, so if you charge parents for clubs, you can raise ?1000+ in a year by charging as little as ?2 per session.

''So there''s zero planning, no marking, the students have tons of fun and improve their literacy skills, AND we can raise money for our school at the same time?'' - YEP!

Dear Authorfy Army,

You may notice that I''m a little slower to respond to emails and social media posts over the next few months, and that''s because I''m going on maternity leave next week! But that doesn''t mean Authorfy content will dry up... In fact, I''ve been working twice as hard to get all Authorfy Masterclasses created until April 2021 and all Authorfy Club content has been created until July 2021!

All things being well, I''ll officially reopen the Authorfy office on 1st May 2021, but I''ll still be replying to emails (albeit maybe at a slower rate than normal!), updating social media, and scheduling all the brilliant content that''s lined up, including:

Wow, what a year it''s been. I hope you all have a wonderful, well-deserved summer break. We''re already looking ahead to the autumn term and have planned our creative writing workshops right up to Christmas. In fact, our resources go to print on 1st August, so there''s only one week left to order your Authorfy Club Box (click here to order yours).

We''re particularly excited for next term, because there will be some added perks...

Authorfy Club at SCHOOL: If you order an Authorfy Club Box, you''ll automatically get sent free digital versions of all the lesson plans, worksheets, activity packs and certificates, so you can share the resources with all of KS2 / other classes / bubbles / those learning at home.
