#TUNEOFTHEWEEK TRANS ORIENT EXPRESS D J T Get Phyiscal's boss DJ T has been a staple diet of all things house and techno for a very long time and his DJ sets are even more legendary if you have managed to catch one! We were lucky enough to catch him playing out of a DJ Booth installed into a grand piano under a crystal chandelier in some back alley of Melbourne up 4 flights of stairs on xmas night many moons ago and been a huge fan ever since. What we like even more is when a artist goes out of their way to do something a little different for their audience and thats exactly what DJ T has done here. A more Indie edged work out with an Eastern twist that will really make your DJ set just like DJ T's stand out this weekend! Enjoy the trip. DRW 5/5.
#ALBUMOFTHEWEEK DISTANCE EP M A R K R E E V E A firm Drumcode favourite, Mark Reeve is back with his latest techno opus. Weaving his vitalising, biting techno through the seminal imprint since 2012, Reeve has since become a permanent fixture on camp Drumcode. He saw demand for his knockout 'Run Back' EP then surpassed by his 'Far Away' EP, which bagged the number one spot on Beatport's techno chart but 'Distance' and its 3 A-side supporting cast is easily his biggest release to date. Relentless, dreamy & energetic masterpieces are just some of the ways to describe parts of the listening within but it's once you take a second bite that you really appreciate the masterclass Reeve shares with all and what techno will be all about in 2020 and beyond! DRW 10/10
THE ILLUSTRIOUS BLACKS FANTASTICAL JOURNEY Once upon a time, in a galaxy not far away, there lived two kings. Each was the ruler of his own deliciously glorious planet. The first king, Manchildblack, was well known throughout the cosmos for his ethereal vocals, celestial sonics and earthy musical messages. The other king, Monstah Black, was a star in the solar system for his gravity defying performances, gender? bending fashions and spacey disposition. One magical night, an inexplicable ultra?magnetic pull forced the two planets to collide. A technicolored explosion occurred, turning night into day, with a feast of aural and visual delights. It was then that the universe was changed forever. Manchildblack and Monstah Black united and became The Illustrious Blacks. With inspiration from other extraterrestrials like Prince, David Bowie, Grace Jones, Boy George and George Clinton,
NIC FANCIULLI FORMATIVE GENERATION Name synonymous with electronic music culture, Nic Fanciulli represents the formative generation of DJs that carved Ibiza’s status within dance music; his career has spanned two decades at the forefront of the underground music scene. With so many projects constantly in the works, Fanciulli stands out as a truly multifaceted artist, with this proving the key to his longevity in an increasingly fast-paced industry. Nic’s career began with working in a record store and handing out demo tapes. Fast forward several years and his skills now pull crowds of over 40,000 internationally and have earned him a remarkable 3 residencies in the clubbing mecca of Ibiza including his own ‘La Familia’ at the 5000 capacity venue Ushuaia and ‘We Are The Night’ at Pacha. The latter saw support from the likes of Sasha, Tiga, and Guy Gerber,
FISHER PARTICULARLY INCREDIBLE Fisher has leapt from being a virtual unknown to a star on the international stage. The Aussie DJ/producer’s rapid rise has come largely due to his massive crossover track ‘Losing It’, but his infectious enthusiasm and positive vibes behind the decks — and in videos — have also played a considerable part. Finally he is about to return to Bali and the Lawn is about to get smacked with the current king of all things Tech-houses antics on and of the stage! Paul Nicholas Fisher is a straight up Strayan. True blue, down to earth, no messing about. He loves his music, he loves to surf, he loves a laugh with his mates. What you see is what you get; a happy-go-lucky man who seems to emanate joie de vivre and has a tendency to cackle mischievously when he laughs. Beer, banter, beats and not so much as a whiff of bull. He’s as honest as they come
XAVIER RUDD WALKS OF LIFE Looking back over Xavier Rudd’s stunning career, one could easily ask what is possibly left for him to achieve. Already one of Australia’s most loved artists, he has earned accolades of every kind, Gold and Platinum certification, and legions of fans worldwide. Yet, with each new release, Xavier Rudd continues to surpass expectation and produce his finest work to date. Storm Boy, Xavier’s ninth studio album, continues this upwards trajectory. Led by the radiating single Walk Away, Storm Boy is both classic Xavier and something a little new. Produced by Chris Bond (Ben Howard, Tom Speight) and mixed by Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, Bowie, U2) it is a record that reflects the power of Xavier’s songwriting – his timeless, philosophical lyrics and his masterful sculpting of melody. Beginning his career with 2002’s definitive To Let, Xavier Rudd put his message out into the world.
ANIMAL FEELINGSEMOTIONALLY RESONANT ANIMAL FEELINGS is New York-based artist Oli Chang’s latest musical experiment. Highly collaborative in spirit, the album evokes a mad-capped, improvisational dance party with a set list that ranges from the melodic-driven electronic music of Jon Hopkins to the seductive rock and pulsation of Camelphat. This is music you want to move to: emotionally resonant interludes and aggressive bass drops are paired with exotic tribal percussion and vocal hooks that will invariably induce dance floor euphoria. As a gifted lyricist and producer attuned to the zeitgeist, Chang’s ANIMAL FEELINGS deftly switches gears from anthems of love and nature to dirty club pop gems. Drawing inspiration from his second home in Bali, Chang speaks of a life where anything is possible.
ALISON WONDERLANDLOST MY MIND With a sound as big as her name is punny, Alison Wonderland is a Sydney-based EDM producer and DJ who began her music career on the opposite side of the spectrum, as a classically trained cellist. Born Alexandra Sholler, she spent a few years DJ’ing before releasing her debut single, “Get Ready,” in 2013; then in 2014 she signed with the EMI label and released the ironically titled Calm Down. The EP earned accolades from tastemakers like Annie Mac and Diplo, and it featured the hit single “I Want U.” A year later she released her debut album, Run, which featured guest spots from Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips, Lido, and Slumberjack. The DJ celebrated the release with a series of launch parties at different strip bars dotted across Australia. Released in 2017, the single “Happy Place” revealed the first offering from Wonderland’s follow-up album, Awake.

IBIZA DJ THRILLER SERIES IS COMING TO NETFLIX
A new series set in Ibiza, White Lines, is coming to Netflix this month. When the body of a famous Manchester DJ is found on the White Isle two decades after his disappearance, his sister (Laura Haddock) returns in search of answers. The story unfolds in the Spanish island's criminal underworld, and its world-famous nightclubs. The series comes from the creator of popular crime drama/thriller Money Heist, ?lex Pina, and will land on Netflix on 15th May. The cast also includes Marta Milans, Juan Diego Botto, Nuno Lopes, Daniel Mays and Angela Griffin. As soon as I read the script, I just knew," says actor Daniel Mays, remembering his first encounter with Netflix mystery-thriller White Lines. "I got to the scene with the banana, the cocaine and the dogs and that was it: I was sold." In the eagerly-anticipated new show, which is already being hailed as the hit of the summer, Mays plays Marcus - a washed-up, 40-something DJ living in Ibiza who dabbles in drug-dealing to make ends meet. In episode one, we see Marcus' supplier deliver a giant, inflatable banana full of cocaine to his house. As Marcus tries to move it out of sight, the banana splits, leaving a trail of coke across his garden. Moments later, Marcus' dog starts to lap up the powder, before feeling the inevitable effects - and later collapsing.

#EPOFTHEWEEK ARE WE HERE A U D I O J A C K Firm favourites here at #baliclubbing HQ, Audiojack return to the scene of the crime armed with two huge progressive house weapons of dancefloor destruction. This time round they come in the form of Nick Curly's 8 Bit record label and the timing of the collaboration couldn't be more perfect. Their tunes have been popular around Bali, that's a guarantee due to their sound fitting in perfectly with Bali's late night music trend being progressive and tribal since the early double 6 and beachside raving days. Auiojack's sound always take a bit more a percussive twist than most of the usual progressive sounds in recent times while getting a little more intelligent, deeper and emotive - perfect! More please Audiojack as two new tunes from these guys is never enough. DRW 10/10
#ALBUMOFTHEWEEK TUESDAY M A T A D O R
Matador returns to the foreground of electronic music's vast landscape with Tuesday, his debut album contribution to the ambient realm. Offering an immersive montage of stories that pay tribute to Ireland's idyllic vistas, the multifaceted producer's breath-taking LP echoes a tenacious dedication to his craft. Perched in a tucked-away spot mere metres from the water, Matador's Dublin-based workspace is enveloped by an abundance of nature and wildlife that serves as an endless source of inspiration for his production output. The album's 20 cuts are replete with organic sentiment; from indigenous birdsong, to breaking waves and blustery storms, an intimate retreat from every-day noise. Tuesday is designed for start-to-finish listening and is available as a continuous mix. DRW 6*
GERMAN CLUBSHOST DRIVE-IN RAVES AMID CORONAVIRUS LOCKDOWN Several clubs in Germany hosted "drive-in raves" last week as a way of circumventing lockdown restrictions. On 30th April at D?sseldorf's drive-in cinema, World Club Dome, hosted two drive-in parties with 1000 guests at each. In an area the size of two football fields, 500 cars with a driver and one passenger allowed in each arrived to catch sets from DJs Plastik Funk and Le Shuuk, who played in front of "the world's largest hydraulic screen" and accompanied by CO2 and fire cannons and a laser show. You can watch the full set here. Car windows had to stay shut during the event, while the music was transmitted through their radios. World Club Dome will return to D?sseldorf's drive-in cinema three more times in the next few weeks.
PEGGY GOULISTEN TO ''GOURANTINE'' PLAYLIST It is said that music has been used as a therapy since antiquity. Well, Peggy Gou understood the concept and decided to share what she's listening to on lockdown with Vogue. "This pandemic has made me realize so many new things it would be impossible to list them all, but I can say that I'm very grateful to have had the time to connect with who I really am, she said to Vogue, "Now is the time for me to do all the things that I wanted to work on before, but wasn't able to because of my busy schedule. So far, I have been more creative than ever." Named the "Gourantine playlist", the Korean DJ has selected 30 eclectic songs for your ears, featuring music from Aphex Twin, Four Tet, Santana, Nate Dogg, Aretha Franklin and Manu Dibango. From dub to techno without forgetting house, jazz, rock and soul music.
DAVID BOWIE''S STARDUST MOVIE SNEAK PREVIEW The first look at Stardust, an upcoming film about David Bowie, is available to watch now. The film is set in 1971 around the time Bowie first visited the USA and was inspired to invent his Ziggy Stardust alter ego, telling the story of that specific section of the artist's life rather than a full biopic. It stars Johnny Flynn as the lead, Marc Maron plays his publicist Ron Oberman, and it is written and directed by Gabriel Range. Range said: "I set out to make a film about what makes someone become an artist; what actually drives them to make their art. "That someone is David Bowie . Someone I only ever saw at a great distance, behind a mask; a godlike, alien presence. Even in his perfectly choreographed death, he didn't seem like a regular human being." David Bowie's son Duncan Jones indicated the film has not been approved by the artist's family.

PLASTIC FOUNDINSIDE DEAD GREEN SEA TURTLE WASHED UP ON BALI BEACH A green sea turtle that washed up on a beach in Bali last week reportedly died on Tuesday. Local authorities suspect that it may have died due to accumulated plastic in its digestive system. "From the necropsy, all its other organs appear normal but in the intestines there were fishing lines, plastic," Permana Yudiarso, who heads the Coastal and Marine Resources Management Center (BPSPL) in Denpasar, told Kumparan. The turtle was found near Kelang Beach in Badung regency by a patrol team from the Indonesian Navy last Friday. They tried to release it further to the ocean, but the turtle only floated and did not try to swim away. It was then taken to the Turtle Conservation and Education Center in Serangan, Denpasar.

CHEMICAL BROTHERS NEW MUSIC ON NHS CHARITY COMPILATION
The Chemical Brothers will feature on a new charity compilation. Released today via London label Above Board Projects' Bandcamp, 'CARE4LIFE' features over 40 production from both The Chemical Brothers and a more underground selection of artists, including Archie Hamilton, Daniel Avery, K-LONE, Jamie Jones, and Nightwave. They also place particular focus on support for people who are disproportionately affected by the pandemic, such as patients and staff from the BAME communities and other groups including those living with disabilities. "Through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic we have all developed a new understanding and awareness about the role our frontline health professionals undertake,"CARE4LIFE said in a press release, "and as a nation we are all united in our appreciation of the incredible work they have delivered in the face of much adversity and pressure in the last couple of months.
BOY GEORGE HAS HIS SAY ON CURRENT GLOBAL MADNESS
Boy George doesn't understand how people can look at the protests over the death of George Floyd taking place around the world and not sympathize with the protestors. "If you're a human being and you see these things, you cannot be not affected," he says. "I mean, if you're not affected, you have no soul!" George joined Billboard staff writer Taylor Mims for Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter's Pride Summit on Saturday (June 13) to have a frank discussion about our current state of affairs.

#TUNEOFTHEWEEK HOME S I A M E S E
Although it''s not possible to be with all of you at the moment, we''re still able to communicate through our music. We are delighted to share our new Song ''Home'' with you, a collective effort from Delhia de France, Marino Canal and us.
The world hit pause and we had to re-evaluate our patterns of behavior, re-think life, re-appreciate the things that, too often, go unnoticed and most of all face our own fears. It could teach us that the true home lies in the moment. It''s the safest place to be, where no fear exists, as there is no need for the past nor the future. RESPECT DRW 5/5
N.W.A''S ''''FUCK THA POLICE'' STREAM SURGE BY 272% Streams of N.W.A's 'Fuck Tha Police' surged by 272% amid the George Floyd protests in recent days. Across last Sunday (31st May), and Monday (1st June) this week, Alpha Data, who provide information for the Rolling Stone charts, revealed that the song had 765,000 on demand audio streams in the 48-hour period. Originally released in 1988, 'Fuck Tha Police' lyrically protests police brutality and racial profiling, and provoked the FBI to write to N.W.A's record company claiming misrepresentation of the police. The protests have been taking place across the globe following the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man from Minnesota who was killed by a white police officer, Derek Chauvin, on Monday 25th May.
DJ STUCKON A CRUISE SHIP FOR THREE MONTHS DUE TO COVID19 RESTRICTIONS A DJ was stuck on a cruise ship for nearly three months due to coronavirus restrictions. Caio Saldanha, a Brazilian DJ, signed up to work on a 24-week run of shows aboard Celebrity Cruises' 1,000-foot Celebrity Infinity ship. The Trump administration issued a no-sail mandate on all boating on March 13th following the COVID-19 pandemic, the day before the Celebrity Infinity ship was set to depart from Florida's Tampa Bay. Saldanha, and his fiance who was on board the ship with him, were stuck in limbo for three months just off the Bay, and waiting to be repatriated to Brazil. Initially, cruise companies only expected to be shuttered for four weeks following the no-sail mandate, which meant crew stayed on board. But in April, the U.S. government pushed the date of the no-sail order back to late July.
THE GRAMMYS RULE BOOK NOW ONLINE: 12 RULES THAT MAY SUPRISE YOU Don't trash-talk the competion and other Grammy rules. For the first time in its 63-year history, the Recording Academy posted its entire rule book online on Wednesday morning (June 10). (OK, there was no "online" for much of the Academy's history, but you get the point.) Under the direction of Harvey Mason, Jr., the Academy's chair and interim CEO/president, the organization is striving for greater transparency. Here are 12 rules that struck me as surprising or at least interesting as I read through the rulebook. Passages in quotation marks are taken straight from the rulebook. An album-defined: The rules state "To qualify as an album, a release must contain at least five tracks (different songs, not different mixes) and have a total playing time of at least 15 minutes or it may have any number of tracks if the total playing time is at least 30 minutes."

#ALBUMOFTHEWEEK FREAKS F I S H E R At first, we were reluctant to listen to another Fisher release but pressed the play button and can confirm we are giving this one our tick of approval.Tension, dark and driving while still keeping all the quirkiness of Australia's favorite party lunatic. The sinister and atmospheric chord work really makesthis pop out for us as it builds anticipation through each drop and chorus bridging together another destined global hit for Fisher. His label Catch & Releasecan do no wrong and you can bet this one's going to taking over all sorts of listening devices, home broadcast and Spotify playlists as we gear up for a few weeks of lockdown ahead of us all. Keep a eye out for the official film clip thats surely gonna drop soon and cause a stir of laughs. DRW 10/10.

'Emochine' steps up the place next keeping in the same emotive theme but taking the energy up a notch with percussive trademark after the melody does its job thru the course of the journey. Rounding things out Jody teams up with Anjunabeats royalty James Grant and does exactly what the title 'Nightwhisper' suggests, taking us home after a big day at the office, by the beach or where ever you find yourself fortunate enough to be listening to another masterpiece courtesy of some of the biggest stars of all things progressive.
SAUL BLISS INFECTIOUS GROOVE Both his DJ sets and recently his own productions have a coherent energy, an infectious groove being the key component causing the crowd to remain captivated, something he has picked up from many sunrises caught in the clubs of Ibiza, and time spent during the early hours in London nightclubs where he cut his dance floor teeth. His ability to mix eclectically is rooted from many years of DJing and holding down residencies in London, Ibiza and currently Australia and INDONESIA. Not one to take his foot off the pedal, showing no signs of slowing having helped set up Sydney based record label Beatfixed recordings with 3 self penned releases set to drop in 2017 plus holding down 4 weekly residencies and promoting parties as Solee Promotions and Kinky Malinki Australia. Having played London Super clubs and Ibiza hotspots this dj knows good music,
XAVIER RUDD WALKS OF LIFE Looking back over Xavier Rudd's stunning career, one could easily ask what is possibly left for him to achieve. Already one of Australia's most loved artists, he has earned accolades of every kind, Gold and Platinum certification, and legions of fans worldwide. Yet, with each new release, Xavier Rudd continues to surpass expectation and produce his finest work to date. Storm Boy, Xavier's ninth studio album, continues this upwards trajectory. Led by the radiating single Walk Away, Storm Boy is both classic Xavier and something a little new. Produced by Chris Bond (Ben Howard, Tom Speight) and mixed by Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, Bowie, U2) it is a record that reflects the power of Xavier's songwriting - his timeless, philosophical lyrics and his masterful sculpting of melody. LATEX RELEVANT SENSE I have always been curious about computers, technology, electronic music and science. Through the early 2000's, i had explored how to make electronic music by hardware, I started with a Roland mc-303 groovebox, began my experiment with 90's hardware. Finding some rare drum machines, samplers and started making my own tracks recorded onto cassete tape recorder, i challenge to my self to keep exploring & learning the process of how a track is constructed by doing Live set until nowdays with relevant sense. Latex name it come from my own software Name, that i develope about 10 years ago in 2008, its a VSTi plugin for ableton Live l, i used it for my own music production. BALI MUSICIANS APPEAL FROM THE GOOD FOLK AT THE ORCHARD BALI As you will know, the live events sector has been hit with devastating impact. In fact, the events and hospitality sectors have been decimated on a global scale. In pretty much every country live music performances have come to a very abrupt halt. That means that not only artists and musicians have had their income reduced to zero, but all the people that were employed making gigs and concerts happen. Waiters and bartenders, chefs and kitchen hands, sound engineers, performers of every shape and genre, publicists and garbage collectors, security staff and cashiers, venues and delivery drivers, and the countless back-of-house staff that nobody sees, but without whom a gig, concert or any event doesn't take place.
HATCH AND DINNER ON ME LAUNCH EPIC FOOD PROGRAM The aim for this program is to raise money which will allow us to employ hospitality staff who have lost their jobs to make a food production. All donation will cover ingredients with buying from local farmers and fishermen, small restaurant supply chain industry, and also help logistic industry with using their services. All food produced will be donated to front line medic and non-medic staff in a hospital appointed by the Government to handle Corona patients and families in need of support to help them survive in this situation. Bali dependencies to tourism industry is more than 80% with having thousands of restaurants and this is what makes tourism is the main contributor to Bali's economy. Since the Corona epidemic hit this beautiful island, Bali is limiting tourist activities, restaurants have to closed.

BALI''S EMPTY STREETS AS NATURE RESETS In Bali right now its no surprise the streets are quiet, nature is taking a very overdue breathe of fresher air and the beaches are smiling as the pollution count is continuing to drop. When going out on a rare occasion to do some essential tasks like food shopping its like a different world in some places like the usual red light wait on your daily commute to your favourite restaurant or surf spot. What used to be a never-ending battle for pole position at each and every traffic light stop on your scooter or just waiting for someone to scrape your side in your car as another impatient N-max enthusiast tries to squeeze thru is now a lonely check of the lipstick or facial grooming in the rear vision mirror and onto the next destination. Guest appearances on the album come from the likes of Common, Kelis, Kehlani & Syd, slowthai, Channel Tres and Fatoumata Diawara, who also appeared in the duo's 2018 single, 'Ultimatum'. The album's first single and title track features the voice of Eric Thomas, who fans will recognise as the voice of the preacher in one of Disclosure's breakthrough hits, 'When A Fire Starts To Burn'.
LADY GAGA FIRST IMPRESSION OF "CHROMATICA"
Well folks, it's here: Lady Gaga's highly anticipated sixth studio album Chromatica has finally been released. It had a pretty stilted run up - the first single leaked online, and then the entire album's release was delayed due to the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic. But we were also served some stunning singles, with 'Stupid Love' and 'Rain On Me' quickly asserting themselves as some of the year's best tracks. At 16 tracks long, there's a lot to unpack in Chromatica - even if the run time is only just under 44 minutes.
#EPOFTHEWEEK ANALOGY S T E P H A N J O L K Stephan Jolk distils his musical universe into the transcendent sounds of 'Analogy'.
Following Stephan's highly-anticipated track 'Doubts', released by Afterlife on the recent 'Unity' compilation, comes an eight-track story like no other. The title track 'Analogy' is another long-awaited gem which has shone in the sets of Tale Of Us. It begins the ascent through a musical journey where distinct elements collide and emotive reactions fill the spaces behind. Each chapter shows Stephan to be a master of melody and cinematic sound design, whether in peak time mode ('Esplora') or with more subdued atmospheres ('Enlighted'). Complete with a Tale Of Us intro edit, the EP stands out as a bold statement of Stephan Jolk's vision and what is to come.
#TUNEOFTHEWEEK MVINLINE B O Y S N O I Z E
Grammy nominated producer and DJ Boys Noize makes his anticipated Defected debut with ''Mvinline'', a captivating and uplifting house cut you can''t help but groove to. A name synonymous with quality dance music, Defected are delighted to welcome Boys Noize into the pack with this joyous release, as the German producer explores his roots with a funk-laden, classic house beat. With lyrics that aptly suit the track''s bounding energy, "I''m so addicted, I just can''t get enough," there is no doubt this infectious and self-assured cut will enchant dancefloors for years to come. ERIC PRYDZTWO NEW TRACKS AS CIREZ D Releases on his more hard-edged Mouseville Records under the pseudonym Cirez D have been tough and powerful a throw back to the underground techno roots his native Sweden has become so famous for. The huge demand for this label has been nothing short of amazing with his massive 'Knockout EP' selling over 18,000 copies on vinyl alone. The more melodic based Pryda imprint showcases his early house influences with harmonies, melodies and hooks fused with his trademark powerful basslines. Pryda & Mouseville are solely for Eric's own productions, vehicles to develop his sound a sound that has become so influential, constantly imitated and copied but yet to be bettered. Eric Prydz has dropped two brand new tracks under his Cirez D alias. Having teased the tracks earlier this month, the Swedish titan has now released 'Valborg' and 'The Raid' via his own Mouseville Records, under his techno-focussed moniker.
DEADMAU5 & THE NEPTUNESJOIN FORCES ON SUMMER ANTHEM "POMEGRANATE"
The masked mau5 has teamed up with The Neptunes, the celebrated production duo of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, for his new single. 'Pomegranate' possesses the bouncy funk flair we've come to expect from Pharrell, and especially reminiscent of his various Daft Punk collabs, but it's new territory for Deadmau5. The track leans closer to the realm of silky RnB-pop than the festival-ready EDM the American producer's made his name on. But hey, it works, and it's definitely a grower. You'll have Pharrell's high-pitched vocals rattling around your head in no time. If clubs were allowed to be open right now, 'Pomegranate' would be getting rinsed, for sure. For now, our loungerooms will have to do.
ENRICO SANGIULIANO EVER THE PERFECTIONIST A name you will have no doubt noted if you've dipped your toe in Techno waters anytime during the last few years. Italy was his playground, with the explosion of its illegal rave scene stirring an innate desire to compose and perform. The catalyst for international success came in 2015, with his remix of DJ Boris's "Can You Hear Me" claiming Beatport's highest selling techno track. As he began adding to his flourishing discography, further recognition came from "X-Pollination" via Unrilis, "Trrbulence" and "Start Of Madness" (Drumcode) which collected further Beatport accolades. However, it was his 4-track "Moon Rocks" offering that stood out as a career highlight. The EP cultivated a lasting impression with a global audience, steam-rolling his career into quick maturity and earning him Beatport's No.1 best-selling Techno artist

ED SHERAN ROLLING STONES AND MORE U.K. MUSIC STARS LEAD WITH GOVERNMENT FOR LIVE SECTOR
Some 1,500 artists backing #LetTheMusicPlay warn of 'mass insolvencies' from ongoing concert lockdowns due to COVID-19. Some of the U.K.'s biggest music stars are pleading with their government to come to the aid of the ?4.5 billion (RP 5.6 billion) live music sector during the coronavirus lockdown, warning that government support is vital to prevent "mass insolvencies." A group of 1,500 artists - including Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, The Rolling Stones, Rita Ora and many others - signed a letter to Oliver Dowden, the secretary of state for digital, culture, media and sport, urging the government to create a funding package for the live sector similar to what Germany's government did last month. "With no end to social distancing in sight or financial support from government yet agreed, the future for concerts and festivals and the hundreds of thousands of people who work in them looks bleak," the artists said in the joint letter.

"THIS IS THE BEST ONE I DID SO FAR," he captioned the announcement. In late June, 6ix9ine scored his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart with "Trollz," a collaboration with Nicki Minaj. That song followed his comeback single "Gooba" in early May.
#TUNEOFTHEWEEK OBEY C R A Z Y F L U K E Every now and then a record comes along that just commands your attention. This is one of those records! A demo that landed from a totally new artist, never released on Toolroom before with very little history as an act, his name is Crazy Fluke. A studio wizz from the UK who''s taken this trying and challenging period that we are all experiencing at the moment and turned it into an engaging and poignant piece of electronic music. A quirky tech house backing and these unmistakeable self-penned lyrics act as a clever observation of the current state of affairs we are experiencing across the world. 10/10 DRW
#ALBUMOFTHEWEEK MORE THAN THIS A N D R E H O M M E N
If I had to describe what house music means to me - it may sound vague - but all I can say is, house music is my motherland, my home. in the figurative sense, it's like a place where I really feel at ease quotes Andre. You know from past outing and his legendary set in Bali last year this album was never going to be done in halves. Ranging from more organic house sounds via some Electronica wizardry and of course no Kompakt release is complete without some infectious techno this was the listening / dancing experience no-one seen coming this week and also available on a double vinyl addition if you want that extra aural satisfaction. 5/5 DRW
THE WEEKNDDONATING $1 MILLION AMID CORONAVIRUS PANDEMMIC The Weeknd's altruism isn't slowing down. On Monday (June 29), the XO commander donated a whopping total of RP 1 million with RP 500,000 going to MusiCares and the other half to front line hospital workers of the Scarborough Health Network. The Weeknd's generous gesture is to help those affected by COVID-19. Along with his charitable donation, the After Hours singer brought back his XO face masks and matched every dollar to help raise the money. Earlier this month, The Weeknd shelled out RP 500,000 to nonprofit organizations committed to racial equality. Split between Black Lives Matter Global Network, Colin Kaepernick's Know Your Rights Camp and National Bail Out, The Weeknd spoke on the importance of creating change for African Americans.
TY DOLLA SIGN RECRUIT A SUPER TEAM IN ANYE WEST , FKA TWINGS AND SKRILLEX FOR ''EGO DEATH'' Is Ty Dolla RP ign season finally underway? If so, the West Coast hyphenate is off to a strong start with his once-elusive single "Ego Death" featuring Kanye West, FKA Twigs, and Skrillex. The mega-collaboration has an electro-hop feel to the track, as Ty leaps into desperation after losing out on his sweetheart "You murdered my ego when you walked away," he warbles on the song's chorus. West, who released his new record "Wash Us in the Blood" less than 24 hours ago, returns with a spirited verse, bashing the Grammys, Super Bowl, and "halfway movements." "Lotta people be thinking, but I'm just a sayer / all of us can't perform at Super Bowl, but it's OK for the players/ all these halfway movements.
PUBLIC ENEMY ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE, ''STATE OF THE UNION (STFU) An Anti-Trump anthem and produced in support of the protests currently taking place across the Globe, 'State of the Union (STFU)' takes aim at the current political climate, and was released on Juneteenth - a holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved people in the U.S.. On the track, Public Enemy speak about the current White House administration and police brutality against Black Americans, and shared the video alongside visuals featuring footage from recent BLM protests, where the group's 'Fight the Power' saw an 89% surge in streams amid the ongoing movement. The protests have been taking place globally since the end of May, following the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who was killed by white police officer, Derek Chauvin.
DJ SNAKE NEW SINGLE ''TRUST NOBODY'' IS PRETTY MAJOR From ominous times comes ominous music. Today (June 24) DJ Snake dropped a new single "Trust Nobody", which effectively nails the doomy vibe of the current moment with brick hard beats, sirens and vocals that focus on how you can't trust anyone.like, nobody. Altogether these elements amalgamate into a massive anthem that would certainly get tens of thousands of heads banging if DJ Snake were able to play it live this summer. Alas, as that form of collective catharsis is currently unavailable, we recommend that you just turn this one up as loud as is appropriate to your current surroundings and just headbang by yourself or with a group of socially distanced friends. You may also consider turning it up in your headphones and just running as fast as you can for as long as you can. Another option is to blast it through your car speakers while driving.

INDIA BANS TIKTOK, DOZENS MORE CHINESE APPS AMID BORDER STANDOFF
NEW DELHI (AP) - Indian TikTok users awoke Tuesday to a notice from the popular short-video app saying their data would be transferred to an Irish subsidiary, a response to India's ban on dozens of Chinese apps amid a military standoff between the two countries. The quick workaround showed the ban was largely symbolic since the apps can't be automatically erased from devices where they are already downloaded, and is a response to a border clash with China where 20 Indian soldiers died earlier this month, digital experts said. "They want to send a message. This is a decision based on a geopolitical situation," said digital rights activist Nikhil Pahwa. Indian protesters have been calling for a boycott.

TYGA HARD HITTING BEATS
A viral moment, courtesy of Soulja Boy's bewilderment that fellow rapper Tyga had a bigger comeback than him last year, has left the latter unfazed. Tyga simply lets his music to the talking. And musically, Tyga has had one hell of a year. The upbeat, catchy and contagious anthem "Taste," featuring Offset, rose above the noise in 2018, becoming a top contender for song of the summer. Within one year, it has been certified five-times platinum, amassing over 2 billion streams worldwide. Further, the song's official music video currently claimed over 728 million views and counting - and it didn't hurt that a friendly cosign came from Kanye West who called it the "best video of all time." Fast forward to 2019 and a revitalized Tyga just released his seventh studio album, "Legendary," his first on EMPIRE after breaking from the major label world and free from the drama surrounding ex-girlfriend Kylie Jenner. From top to bottom, the 14-track project follows the trajectory of a Los Angeles MC who knows a thing or two about hard-hitting beats and West Coast production. Enlisting the likes of Gunna, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and J Balvin, among others, the 29-year-old manages to turn up, while still showcasing self-reflection, as on the closing track "Made Me." Tyga spoke to Variety a week after his album's June 7 release.

With album sales of more than 3 million under their belt including their legendary debut album "Remedy" and 2005's double-platinum UK No.1 collection "The Singles", Basement Jaxx have also developed into a remarkable live act - an all-out sensory assault featuring live musicians,

You know when you see something appear on FCKING SERIOUS it''s worth taking a listen and what a first listen it is! Driving, melodic and sinister is the theme as Ann Clue goes to work across 3 equally big techno workouts that are all about the driving bass. The Kick drum seems that bit more pounding as it accompanies an even deeper bassline in ''State of Mind'', really enhancing the listening experience when it drops. The title track offers more emotive melody work, exploring darker space but once again that low-end frequency work just keeps haunting us. Finishing things, the aptly titled "Outro'' steers away from the heavy driven vibe, delivering more melody work, rounding out easily Ann Clue''s finest work to date - taking her shows to even further corners of the globe in 2020. DRW 10/10.
#TUNEOFTHEWEEK AMARU Y O T T O
Part trance, part progressive house but 100% Yotto. That''s what he does with each and every release - blur the boundaries of what the genre police normally have an easy task at hand. With releases across some of the biggest labels in the game including Anjuna and now his own label Odd One Out which is starting to break the rules, it''s just another day in the sun as we take a trip down highway feel good 1010 courtesy of his latest offering ''Amura'', It''s all smiles from start to finish as we enjoy the rollercoaster Amura takes us on going up and down with each chorus as it''s easy to understand why Beatport have hype tagged another Yotto release as it begins to find its path into the playlist''s of the worlds biggest DJS and podcasts in the coming weeks and beyond! Buckle up and enjoy the ride! DRW 6*
MIDLAND YOUR WORDS MATTER Through his productions, DJ sets and record labels, Midland's output comes across as unassuming and surprising in equal measure, at once subtle, refined and totally raucous. Midland's production style has nimbly evolved from one record to the next. "Your Words Matter" his collaboration with Pearson Sound (then Ramadanman), set the tone for his long-lasting relationship with Aus Music:- stripped-back, garage-flavored house, which also characterized his 2011 single "Bring Joy" on More Music. Soon after, though, he flipped the script, joining forces with Pariah for a scuffed-up techno EP that formed part of the She works series on Karenn's Works The Long Nights label. This dark turn continued on what may have been his breakthrough track, "Trace", a warped after-hours tune that seemed to emanate from the deepest corners of the subconscious.
ANIMAL FEELINGSEMOTIONALLY RESONANT New York-based artist Oli Chang's latest musical experiment. As a gifted lyricist and producer attuned to the zeitgeist, Chang's ANIMAL FEELINGS deftly switches gears from anthems of love and nature to dirty club pop gems. Drawing inspiration from his second home in Bali, Chang speaks of a life where anything is possible. I'm sure most people would agree that any creative pursuit is wrought with mistakes,

NORA EN PUREENLIGHTENING MELODIES Nora En Pure is the Deep House & Indie Dance music sensation that is rippling through the sonic sphere with her beautiful blend of electronic beats. A core member of the Helvetic Nerds group, Nora leads listeners out of the darker realms of Deep House with intricate instrumentals and enlightening melodies. Every track she gets her hands on turns to gold and every performance she gives leaves the audience in awe. Moving far away from her home at an early age to Zu?rich, Switzerland, Daniela found herself longing to touch base with her South African roots. Growing up listening to classical music and playing the flute and piano, she began creating her own electronic beats. 2009 saw the beginnings of her musical career, releasing her debut tracks via the Enormous Tunes and Tonkenish imprints.
CARL COXCELEBRATING LIFE One of the most charming DJs in the business. A musical ambassador and aveteran of acid house, a champion of techno, a dance music pioneer, label owner, King of Ibiza-you name it, Carl's been there and done it, never losing sight of his passions -playing music, breaking tunes and celebrating life.It was at the age of 15 that Carlboughta set of turntables and began working as a mobile DJ. Disco was the first music that captivated him but by the early 80s Cox hadmoved on to playing the same music as other young London DJs -rare groove, New York hip-hop and electro. He was perfectly placed to hear Chicago house music in its earliest forms, and when the epic 'Acid Trax' by Phuture (a.k.a. DJ Pierre) came out in early '87. "It was then that I thought, 'This is it,' says Carl. "I would do my parties,
