1. Tease your book!

From a gorgeous cover image to intriguing copy introducing the premise-what can you put on your page to entice a visitor to stop everything they''re doing and buy your book? A captivating video book trailer? Raving reviews or endorsements from readers? These are good options!

2. Make it easy to buy your book!

Now that they are interested, give them options to purchase one (or more). Buyers may have their favorite vendors to buy from or format to read in, so give them options if you can.

Add "Buy the book" links to major booksellers like Amazon and B&N, independents such as IndieBound, Powell's, or sell yourself with links to Paypal and Gumroad accounts.

3. Let Readers Connect With You

People like reading books from real authors, so make sure they can see you are a real person. Include an author headshot and a couple highlights about you and your writing.

To know you better or reach out directly, include links to your other web properties, email address and social profiles. Pro-audience building tip: Let them sign up for an email update list.
