Darjeeling has a reputation for being a bit posh. The 'champagne of teas' anyone? Forget all of that. We''ve listened to your gripes - Meet our new website!
We're really excited about this one - and judging from the regular cries of "Do you do an Assam?", you lot are too. We have a soft spot for Assam. It's the main part of our English Breakfast and the tea in our Chai, sourcing tea from a few established estates we''ve created a blend to do the region justice.

The leaves are bright with golden tips, producing a great coppery colour when brewed and yielding a unique sweet aftertaste.

Anyone currently trying to hoover glitter out of the carpet will have a newfound respect for school-issue Father''s Day cards. Firstly, let''s get a quick status update out of the way. As of this week, sales to our stockists - the majority of them fantastic indie restaurants, caf?s, museums and hotels - have all but disappeared. Some of our stockists have closed whilst others are attempting to do new or different things to try and stay open. We''ll be talking about them regularly on social, so follow updates there and support your local indie.?

As many of you have started working from home, we''ve seen quite a few orders come in - in fact, yesterday was our best day of online sales this year. We have a fighting chance - for instance, if everyone on our mailing list placed an order with us this week, we''d be able to guarantee all Tea HQ jobs for the coming months.
For those of you who have done this, THANK YOU - each & every online order we get means we can live to fight another day.

- Our Weights & Measures team now work two different shifts to stagger working times.
- Weights & Measures wear disposable face masks and aprons.
- They also wear clothes not worn outside of Tea HQ each day.
- Everyone at Tea HQ has a separate lunch time.

Iced tea tips to get you rooting for your cocktail shaker.
It''s the most wonderful time of the year - no, not that time, this happens even less than Christmas. It looks like today and tomorrow might actually be sunny for most of the UK! Finally some summer sun to while away our quarantine blues.
ICED?TEA''S?A?FAFF, RIGHT?

Wrong. If you''ve got time and the forecast is favourable, cold brew is the way to go and our Cold Brew Lemonade gives you a zingy hit with minimal effort. But, if the weather turns on a sixpence and you want a faster iced tea fix, we''ve got some tips below. Have a great weekend.
Smashing it
Our big boxes are zipping out the door almost as fast as we can make them.? The black tea blends as ever are leading the charge, and we wouldn''t have it any other way. Plus, with all this extra tea you''ll be able to experiment and get your own iced tea (maybe even a tea cocktail) just right. Happy taste testing...
ICED TEA ESSENTIALS
?
If you want fast, easy, amazing iced tea, pop the kettle on - really. Here are some foolproof steps to take you from hot to cool-as-a-cucumber in minutes.
?
1. Make a super-strong concentrate by using 4x scoops in your pot. Brew for 5 minutes, pour immediately.
?
2. Pour 200ml of your concentrate into a cocktail mixer.
?
3. Add 200ml of sweetened lemon juice (sugar or honey)
?
4. Shake over chunky ice & serve. This works a dream for English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Lemon & Ginger, Apple & Blackberry in particular.
?
Tasty tip 1: So long as you''re using a tart fruit juice (grapefruit, yuzu & lime are all great too), you''ll get that balance of sweet/sharp to work for your strong tea base.
?
Tasty tip 2: Once cool, store the tea for up to two days in the fridge - just stir gently beforehand. Happy drinking!
