Bridport Arts Centre may be closed but we are hoping the interval won't be too long. Whilst we are all on lock down, we have pulled together a selection of online content for you.
With the nation heading indoors, online streaming is up. The Internet has given us unlimited access to exclusive content from around the world. This means that no matter what you're in the mood for, or how you'd like to spend a morning or afternoon, there is likely be something out there for you.
We have listed a few ideas below to get you started.
We know that this is a global crisis, and you will have heard from many arts organisations about the impact the closures will have on theatres and arts venues.
For those who don't know, at Bridport Arts Centre less than 20% of our income comes from public funding, so 80% is generated through a combination of ticket sales, The Bridport Prize and fundraising - all of which have taken a substantial hit during this crisis.
It has been through your help and support over the years that we have not only continued to function, but to thrive; that is now under threat. To ensure that we can continue in our work, supporting artists and the community, and bringing the very best live theatre to Bridport, we now need your help more than ever.
Whilst we understand the uncertainty of the current economic and social climate, if you feel able to make a donation, regardless of the amount, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reopening of the Arts Centre very soon.
Additionally, if you would like to further support us in what is set to become one of the most challenging periods of this Centre's long history, do consider buying a Friends' membership or donating your ticket back to us if you are scheduled to attend one of our postponed performances. We are determined to emerge stronger than ever from this difficult period, but we can only achieve that with your help.
Thank you for your continued love and support, without which BAC wouldn't be what it is today.
With best wishes from all at Bridport Arts Centre
