Our new Brompton luggage range might be water-tight, but it looks like our website wasn't quite on the same level when we launched our latest bags on Tuesday.

Due to high volumes of traffic our website was temporarily down. We have been working hard to resolve the technical issues that caused this and the full range is now available again on brompton.com. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience.

We invest the same level of care and attention to the design of every Brompton bag as we do for our bikes, with performance and durability being the pillars that we build each product around. Combined with the unique Brompton luggage system which allows our bags to seamlessly attach to the bike, it offers the perfect carry solution for your ride.

The Brompton bike was always designed with day to day city use in mind, and integral to that thought was the means to transport ones'' possessions for the day too. From the very earliest designs, there has always been an option to carry luggage.

For 2020 we have taken the opportunity to revamp the entire range and are pleased to share our most accomplished set of bags to date; suiting a wide range of needs with quality and smart design featured throughout. Highlights of the range include fully waterproof bags, our first ever backpack and a selection made from recycled plastics, explore our new families below.

Conceived with commuters in mind, the navy 'Brompton Blazer by Oliver Spencer' takes inspiration from the Brompton's unique 3-way folding design to create a versatile yet stylish blazer. When the weather warms up the Blazer can be worn using the internal bag straps.

Made from a textured, Italian water-resistant performance cloth, the fabric retains its shape and avoids creasing which makes it ideal for folding away in the integrated musette bag - like the Brompton bike itself.

The BWC is back! We''re thrilled to announce a twist on our annual event with the launch of this year''s ''Brompton World Challenge''. Our CEO, Will Butler-Adams, puts it best:

Le Mans start, Buckingham Palace, tea & scones mixed with a tincture of furious competition.....The Brompton World Championships sadly won't be on the cards for us this year, but that won't stop us having a blast.
So in 2020 we''re going virtual..not one event but four, not one day but a week of excitement and events celebrating the fun and freedom of riding your Brompton.
The Brompton World Challenge, has unlimited registrations, so we are hoping to have Brommie riders signing up from all over the world to 'join us' in London for a fantastic celebration of cycling!

The Brompton World Challenge will take place over the weekend of the 15th and 16th August as part of the new My Prudential RideLondon event, and, as Will said, you''ll be able to take part from anywhere in the world by riding your Brompton bike in any of the 4 distances available on the upcoming My Prudential RideLondon app.

A Very Limited Edition

Designed in collaboration with CHPT3, a brand established by ex-pro cyclist David Millar, the Brompton x CHPT3 is back in limited numbers for a third edition.

In 2015, David Millar met with Brompton CEO Will Butler-Adams. David expressed he rarely used a bike in the city, only for training and competing, so the conversation turned to what would be the best Brompton for a die-hard roadie. That was the moment the idea for the Brompton x CHPT3 was forged.

Due to extremely high demand, we are limiting sales of special edition bikes, including the Brompton x CHPT3 2020, to 1 bike per customer, per household, within a 6 month period.

If you wish to shop in one of our Brompton Junction stores, due to social distancing regulations, please contact the store in advance to book an appointment (store contact details can be found here). At your appointment, to purchase a special edition bike, you will be required to show photo identification matching your payment card details. The bike will then be manufactured and shipped to the store for you to collect at a later date. Payment will be taken in full at point of collection.

We''re back with The Race - Wheels for Heroes!

Back in April, we launched our Wheels For Heroes crowdfunding campaign, with the ambition to raise enough funds for 1,000 bikes for NHS staff. We committed production capacity equating to an investment of ?100k to fund bikes for the NHS with a further ?320k raised so far through partners and individuals - thank you so much to everybody who has donated. Thanks to those donations, around 500 bikes are already being used by NHS staff.

We''re incredibly excited that Wheels for Heroes will culminate through a special event in which sports stars (including Chris Froome, Kevin Pietersen and many more) will take part in a virtual race live on Sky Sports to raise further for the cause. This will mean we can put permanent docks into hospital trusts for staff to support a long-lasting legacy for this initiative. Hear Kevin Pietersen explain all in his own words here.
