Join Amanda Carestio and Kate Zaynard, the editors behind Sew News magazine and hosts of the Sew & Tell podcast, to learn how in this FREE sew-along. Amanda and Kate will take you through the simple construction of the Loveland Leggings while giving you tips and tricks that can be applied to other knit fabric projects as well. They’ll talk through appropriate stretch and recovery, how to check them and how to use that knowledge to pick the best fabric for leggings. They’ll make sure you know how to cut and prep the fabric for the greatest success. Best of all, Amanda and Kate will teach you how to sew the leggings on a sewing machine as well as a serger. You’ll learn about different stretch stitches and how to pick the best one for each seam. Plus discover three different waistband options and a bonus cuff hack. Loveland Leggings are basic full-length leggings with an enclosed waistband, but they’re very easy to hack. In addition to the waistband and cuff hacks presented in the sew-along, the leggings can be made to almost any length simply by cutting the pattern shorter. Make them capri-length or even stitch up your own set of bike shorts! Or add panels of different fabric for extra style. |
