Invitation to CW Santathon 2020 

To celebrate the collaborative spirit of our tech community, we would like to invite you to join us for a unique and final event in the CW 2020 calendar.

2020, it’s been different, and the same for the big man – so we thought we’d lend a hand.

On Thursday, 17 September, we''re bringing together innovators, tech companies and leaders to explore “How can tech help Santa?” and support a great cause!

Three short talks will explore tech themes such as 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR)/ Virtual Reality (VR) and Satellites to facilitate what is surely the biggest logistical challenge of all time - from packing the presents, loading the sleigh to finding the right chimney to climb down!

The cost of the event is £10+VAT with all proceeds going to Ely Foodbank, who provide help to local people at the time of crisis, and help to move forward, in the region north of Cambridge. CW will make up to the closest £1000.

The webinar will conclude with a lighted hearted panel session hosted by Peter Whale of Vision Formers.

The Conference this year focuses on the impact of Edge technology on vertical sectors, and provides a platform to get behind the hype and ensure we are one step ahead in Transport Solutions & Logistics, Health & Social Care, Digital Infrastructure & Smart Cities, Creative Industries and FinTech.

#CWTEC2020: demystifying the Edge

Wednesday 23rd & Thursday 24th September 2020

It’s difficult to read about 5G without seeing mention of the "edge" - edge computing, edge cloud, edge services… but what is the edge? Where is the edge? And why is the edge important for 5G? 

The CW Technology and Engineering Conference (CWTEC) is aimed at technology leaders in industry, as well as engineers and researchers. Designed to explore a technical subject in more depth – and following on from CWIC 2020: At the Edge – CWTEC2020 will explore the concept of the 5G edge, reviewing the role of edge computing within the broader 5G architecture evolution.
