Are you interested in having a go at Indian block printing? Why not join our next workshop at The Wilson?

You'll be shown the techniques in a demonstration with the course leader then will be able to create your own design to print a bag, tea towel or piece of fabric to create a unique design.

Come and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a cake when you visit Pittville Pump Room during the February half term. We're offering a pop up café at the elegant Grade I listed building café from Wednesday 19 February to Sunday 23 February, 10am to 4pm.

A new free exhibition, Sisterhood, comes to The Wilson from Friday 6 March to Friday 12 June.

Photographer, filmmaker and artist Danielle Salloum is passionate about raising awareness about modern controversial issues. Using artistic interpretation and portraiture Salloum highlights the stories she feels strongly about.

Sisterhood illuminates women’s roles beyond society’s often narrow interpretation, presenting a more encompassing view of women.

Colour-ways is an exhibition of artist Liz West's work looking at how colour can impact on how you feel. It opens on Saturday 21 March.

The exhibition, in The Wilson’s second floor gallery, features three key light installations, Our Spectral Vision, Tempo and Shifting Luminosity.

The exhibition runs until Tuesday 2 June. Tickets priced £5 (£3 for concessions) will be on sale soon.

Leisure at Cheltenham is offering the opportunity to train to become a lifeguard. The centre in Tommy Taylors Lane is running a national pool lifeguard qualification course, regarded as the industry gold standard qualification.

Are you interested in the Arts and Crafts movement and would like to hear more about the life and work of Gloucestershire’s leading architect and designer Ernest Gimson?

The Wilson is offering an exclusive event as part of the winter Gimson exhibition, Observation, Imagination, Making.

Join us at this special event and enjoy a talk on Gimson by renowned author, curator and lecturer Mary Greensted. For many years Mary was responsible for Cheltenham’s nationally important Arts and Crafts Movement collection. She is a leading expert on Gimson and has recently co-authored a book on his life and work (available for purchase at The Wilson).

This special event also includes a screening of Harold Bain’s short film ‘The Cotswold Craftsmen’ a demonstration by a local maker and afternoon tea in the unique setting of the third floor gallery.

Saturday 25 January, 10am–1pm, The Wilson

Are you feeling creative and looking to try something new? Why not come and try your hand at creating your own plaster cast tile at a half day workshop at The Wilson.

Follow in the footsteps of leading Arts and Crafts movement designer and architect Ernest Gimson by learning how to create a plaster cast tile based on his work. The half-day session is led by an instructor who will show you how to work in plaster of Paris to create a relief tile. The session is £45, places are limited so early booking is advisable.
