Chichester Cathedral will be open for sightseeing from Saturday 1st August.

We have made a number of changes to ensure that you can visit safely. Measures in place to limit the spread of COVID-19 include the provision of hand sanitiser stations, an enhanced cleaning regime and all Cathedral staff and volunteers will be wearing face masks.

Those visiting can do so daily between 10.00am - 4.00pm. Upon arrival visitors can follow a one-way route around the Cathedral - an opportunity to discover the building's 900 years history.

As a result of these changes, the Cathedral has been awarded the "Good to Go" mark by Visit Britain. The UK-wide industry standard and consumer mark demonstrates to visitors that an organisation is following government and public health guidance in relation to COVID-19.

Plan your trip by visiting the Cathedral website.

Space for prayer & reflection
The Chapel of St Clement, located in the South Aisle, has been reserved for private prayer and reflection. Other spaces within the Cathedral, including the Shrine of St Richard, will also be accessible.

A number of spiritual resources for those unable to join us are available via the Cathedral website.
