So on Saturday, April 4th, the results were revealed and they were historic in many respects; the winner is the first Eastern European photographer and also the first female photographer to win the coveted title of FEP Professional Photographer of the Year, Darya Matrosova from Belarus. Matrosova is also the winner of the Golden Camera in the Illustrative / Digital art category of the competition.

Special shout-out to ChromaLuxe ambassador Antti Karppinen for winning 1 Golden, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Camera.

To help bring some much-needed inspiration, levity, and creativity, ChromaLuxe is pleased to announce the launch of our Through Your Eyes social media movement. We would like to see what is bringing you joy, inspiration, laughter, or any form of positivity during these trying times. Share your images with us on your social media pages by tagging @realchromaluxe and by using the hashtags #chromaluxe and #throughyoureyes. We will share select images on the ChromaLuxe Facebook and Instagram pages. You may also provide a short description as to why your subject matter brings you joy.

We want to see “Through Your Eyes” what is bringing you happiness right now. While we look forward to your images, please do not put yourself at risk by taking any photographs that may put you in harm’s way. Your safety and health are the first priority. 

Please feel free to share as many images as you wish. We will keep this movement going through the duration of this crisis and beyond. For fun, we will periodically provide some photo themes that might help spark some creativity, so be one the lookout for those. We will also be teaming up with some well-known photographers to see what’s inspiring them during this time.
