Raise your wand and make some magic!
Kia ora everyone,

What a wild year it''s been. We''re halfway through October and 2021 is already on the horizon. We''ve been busy getting everything ready for the new year that has suddenly appeared but for now, let''s look at our recent successes and the glorious final shows we have on in 2020.

Recently we''ve had the sold out season of The Glitter Garden, delighting children and adults alike over the school holidays, and opening the internationally acclaimed Di & Viv & Rose tonight that champions female friendships. Penny Ashton arrives shortly for her hilarious Promise and Promiscuity in November and a brand new Pantomime with a stunning cast and crew will be magic-ed into existence with Cinderella. Finally we''re celebrating gold card excellence with The Older The Better presented by Hens'' Teeth.

See you soon,

Di and Viv and Rose is an extraordinary theatre piece by Amelia Bullmore who captures brilliantly the true spirit of female friendships across a span of 40 years - this is what inspired actors Julie Edwards and Jodie Dorday to bring a lifetime of friendship to the stage.

Rose (Julie Edwards) is a free-spirited art history student who sleeps with any boy she likes the look of. Her companions are Di (Lara Macgregor), a sports-loving lesbian who is taking business studies, and Viv (Jodie Dorday), a sociology student with a fierce work ethic. On the surface they seem unlikely friends but as Di, Viv and Rose's friendship grows, we see how their solidarity precariously shifts over a 40 year time span. A funny and thoughtful exploration of friendship's impact on life and life's impact on friendship.

Di and Viv and Rose is a witty, vivid comedy that charts the steady, but sometimes chaotic, progression of three women's lives and their ultimately enduring bonds.

This NZ Premiere sports a top NZ all-female cast and crew and is one not to be missed.

The Power of Friendship.
Watch real life besties Julie and Jody chat about how they met and performing together onstage for the first time ever.

After a rapturous sell-out season in 2016, Penny Ashton's bonnet is back.

Flushed by seven years of success, from Edinburgh to Edmonton to Adelaide, comes Miss Ashton's collaboration with Jane Austen (deceased). Join Elspeth as she battles literary snobbery, cousin Horatio's digestions and her mother's nerves, armed only with a blushing countenance, excellent ukulele skills and being quite bright, you know. for a girl.

In this hilarious, one-(freakishly talented)-woman show, Penny tackles all of Austen's characters with song, dance and appalling cross-stitching.
