Greene from Hoover Avenue to Kipke Drive: Monday, July 22 at 9 a.m. - Friday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. Beginning 9 a.m. Monday, July 22, Greene will be closed from Hoover Avenue to the north side of Kipke Drive. Hoover Avenue will continue to be closed to through traffic between Main Street and Greene, and between Greene to the west side of Division. Hoover Avenue will also continue to be closed to Westbound traffic between Division to State Street.
Beginning Monday, July 22, two lanes of traffic will also be shifted to the east on State Street at Hoover Avenue to allow for curb removal and replacement on the west side of the intersection. This will be a 3-day operation. Northbound traffic on Greene will be detoured on Main Street to Hill. Southbound traffic on Greene will be detoured on Hill to Main Street. Eastbound traffic on Hoover Avenue will be detoured on Main Street to Hill to Packard to State Street. Westbound traffic on Hoover Avenue will be detoured on State Street to Packard to Hill? to Main Street.

Stone School Road and East Eisenhower Parkway intersection: On Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, 2019 intermittent single lane closures coupled with flagging operations will take place within the Stone School Road and East Eisenhower Parkway intersection, reducing lanes of traffic from four to two. This work will be occurring between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 ?p.m. Significant traffic delays can be expected and drivers are advised to seek an alternate route.?
5:30-10 a.m., Sunday, July 28, 2019, the following streets will be closed for the Electric Bolt special event:
Noon-midnight, Wednesday, July 31, 2019 the following street will be closed for the NTI ?Bloc?k Party special event:

Church Street from Hill to Willard: 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31. Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, Church Street between Hill and Willard will be closed to traffic for duct bank work by DTE/Corby Energy Services.

East Washington from South Fourth to South Main: 7 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 17-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019. Beginning at 7 a.m., Saturday Aug. 17, East Washington between South Fourth and South Main will be closed to vehicle traffic.
Eastbound Washington traffic will be detoured north onto South Ashley, east on Huron Street, then south on South Fifth and back to East Washington.
Westbound Washington traffic will be detoured south onto South Fifth Avenue, west onto East Liberty, then north onto South ?Ashley back to East Washington.
Local businesses will have access maintained at all times. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the south side of Washington Street.?
Broadway Street near Plymouth Road: Monday, Aug. 19-Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019. Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, Broadway Street near Plymouth Road will be closed to most vehicle traffic. Southbound traffic will be detoured south on Broadway Street to eastbound Plymouth Road. Southbound ?Broadway Street traffic will be detoured north on Broadway Street to westbound Plymouth Road.
Local businesses will have access maintained with limited interruption. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained along Broadway Street, initially along the north side of Broadway Street.
Local traffic will be maintained with the full closure initially at Traver Creek. The full closure will move southward as utility and road construction progress. Emergency vehicles shall follow the detour.?
Hoover, Greene and Hill Improvement Project & DTE State Street Station Sub transmission Duct Bank Project and (Update) South State Street Concrete Pavement Repair Project: 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29.
(UPDATE) Beginning Monday, Aug. 19 at 9 a.m., the southbound lanes of South State Street between Stimson and Oakbrook Drive will be closed to traffic. Southbound traffic will be detoured south on South Industrial Highway and west on Eisenhower Parkway back to South State Street. Northbound traffic will continue to be maintained in that direction.
Additionally, Henry Street between South State Street and White Street, and Mary Street between East Hoover Avenue and Benjamin Street will temporarily become two-way traffic for the purposes of maintaining access to residential driveways for the duration of the South State Street closure.
Only local traffic and driveway access will be permitted on South State Street between Granger and Stimson and between East Hoover and Arch.
The closure will remain closed until 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29.?
West Liberty between South Seventh and West Stadium Boulevard: Wednesday, Aug. 21-Friday, Aug. 30, 2019. Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, West Liberty Street will close to traffic in the westbound direction between South Seventh Street and West Stadium Boulevard for road resurfacing and restoration.
During this closure, traffic will be detoured southerly on South Seventh Street, westerly on Pauline Boulevard, and northerly on West Stadium Boulevard back to West Liberty Street. The contractor will maintain one-way traffic on West Liberty Street through the construction area with one lane operating in the eastbound direction. The contractor expects this closure and the related work to continue through Friday, Aug. 30, 2019, weather permitting.??

Green Road between Plymouth Road and Gettysburg Road/Burbank Drive: Saturday, Aug. 24–Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019. Beginning Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, intermittent single lane closures in the northbound and southbound directions of Green Road? between Plymouth and Gettysburg Road/Burbank Drive will be in place as required to accommodate pavement work.
The contractor will maintain two-way traffic when performing this work, and will use flagging operations at times to control traffic access and restrict certain turning movements to and from side streets and driveways. Washtenaw Avenue and Pittsfield Blvd Pedestrian Crosswalks: 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26?-3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2019. Installation of ADA ramps and foundations for a signal will require equipment in the right lanes nearest the curb in the section of Washtenaw Avenue (which has two lanes in each direction).Emergency vehicles access will be maintained. ?Both lanes in each direction will be open over Labor Day weekend. ??
Pontiac Street between Moore and Barton Drive: Monday, Aug. 26-Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019. Beginning on Monday, Aug. 26, Pontiac Street between Moore and Barton Drive will be closed to traffic for water utility work, which will take place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
The northbound traffic will be detoured north from the intersection of Plymouth/Broadway/Moore/Maiden Lane onto Plymouth Road, then west on Barton Drive?, and back to Pontiac Street. The contractor will maintain one-way traffic on Traverwood Drive through the construction area with one lane operating in the northbound direction.

Hoover, Greene and Hill Improvement Project: Monday, Sept. 23-Friday, Nov. 15?, 2019. Beginning at on Monday, Sept. 23, the detours will below will be in place for road and utility Greene Street (East Davis Avenue to Hill Street) and on Hill Street (Brown Street to South Fifth Avenue) as part of the second phase of the Hoover, Greene and Hill Improvement Project.
*Updated. Huron Parkway from Plymouth Road to Glazier Way: Thursday, Aug. 29-Friday, Oct. 11, 2019. As of Thursday, Aug. 29, one lane of Huron Parkway, in each direction, will be closed to traffic between Plymouth Road and Glazier Way for sidewalk, curb and road restoration.

Southbound Washtenaw Avenue left turn to Geddes Avenue will be prohibited and detoured to northbound Observatory Street, back to Geddes Avenue.
Northbound Washtenaw Avenue left turn to Palmer Avenue will be prohibited and detoured to northbound Zina Pitcher Place, then to westbound East Ann Street, then southbound Glen Avenue, then eastbound East Huron Street, back to Palmer Avenue.
Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on both sides of Washtenaw Avenue.
North Fifth Avenue, from Kingsley Street to Detroit Street and Detroit Street, from Kingsley Street to Fifth Avenue: Monday, Oct. 7-Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019. Beginning on Monday, Oct. 7, sections of North Fifth Avenue and Detroit Street will experience lane closures for brick installation. The work will be done in 3 stages:?
Stage 1: the contractor will replace bricks on the westerly lane of Fifth Avenue. Fifth Avenue will be reduced to one lane from Kingsley Street to Detroit Street. The easterly lane will remain open.
Stage 2: The contractor will shift operations for replacement of bricks on the east side of Fifth Avenue, and the easterly lane will be closed from Kingsley through Detroit Street. Temporary two-way traffic will be permitted on Detroit Street, south of Kingsley.
Stage 3: The contractor will replace bricks on Detroit Street, north of Fifth Avenue. The easterly lane of Fifth Avenue will remain closed to provide adequate access for construction equipment and materials.
During stages 2 and 3, intermittent full closure of Fifth Avenue will be needed during delivery/unloading of bricks, with southbound Fifth Avenue traffic temporarily detoured to westbound Kingsley, to southbound Fourth Avenue, to eastbound Catherine Street, back to Fifth Avenue. Except during deliveries, the westerly lane of Fifth Avenue will remain open.?
During all stages of the work, northbound Detroit Street traffic from Catherine Street will be able to turn onto southbound North Fifth Avenue. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
Updated: Hoover, Greene and Hill Improvement Project: Monday, Sept. 9-Friday, Nov. 15?, 2019. Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, Hill from Main Street to South Fifth, Greene from Hill to north of Hoover will be closed to through traffic for continuing utility? and road work.

Truck traffic intending to travel northbound on South Main Street will be detoured on East Stadium Avenue to Packard Street, to South Main Street.
Traffic intending to travel northbound on South Main Street will be detoured on Pauline Boulevard to South Seventh Street, to West Madison Street, to South Main Street.
Traffic traveling southbound on South Main Street will be reduced to one lane between Hill Street and Hoover Avenue.
Traffic intending to travel eastbound Hoover Avenue will be detoured from South Main Street to Keech Avenue, to Greene Street, to Hoover Avenue.
Traffic intending to travel Westbound Hoover Avenue will be detoured to Greene Street, to Keech Avenue, to S. Main Street.
Church Street from Hill to South University: 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 - 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2019. Beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 9, Church Street will be closed to traffic for DTE utility work. Southbound traffic will be detoured to eastbound South University Avenue, then southbound South Forest Avenue, then westbound Hill Street, back to Church Street.

Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019, West Summit Street will close to through traffic in both directions between Brooks Street and North Main Street for road resurfacing. During this closure, a detour will be in place directing traffic to use North Main Street, Miller Avenue and Brooks Street. The contractor will maintain local traffic to allow access to properties on West Summit Street, and expects this closure and the related work to continue through Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, weather permitting.

Ann Street: 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019. Beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, Ann Street between North Main Street and North Fourth Avenue will be closed to traffic for crane work to perform chiller replacement work at 101 E. Huron St.
Eastbound Ann Street traffic will be detoured south on Main Street to Huron Street then east to North Fourth? Avenue and north back to Ann Street. Westbound Ann Street traffic will be detoured north on Fourth Avenue to Catherine Street then west to North Main Street and south back to Ann Street. Ann Street after the Observatory Street roundabout: 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020. Beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, westbound Ann Street, after the Observatory Street roundabout, will be closed to traffic for utility work. The main Observatory Street University of Michigan Hospital entrance will remain accessible, but the exit onto westbound Ann Street will be blocked?. Traffic will be able to exit through southbound Observatory Street.
Vehicles traveling northbound on Observatory Street will be notified of the closure with signage and given the option to turn right onto East Medical Center Drive. Vehicular traffic will then follow East Medical Center Drive until they are notified to turn left onto Fuller Road. Drivers will continue to follow Fuller Road/Glen Avenue until they reach East Ann Street, where they will have the option to turn right or left toward their East Ann Street destination.?

The Washtenaw County Health Department has reported Washtenaw County's first two presumptive positive cases of COVID-19. As a result, and to continue efforts to slow the spread of the virus, the City of Ann Arbor will close Larcom City Hall to the public effective 5 p.m. Friday, March 13, through Sunday, April 5. These measures will not impact critical services such as drinking water, waste water, police, fire and emergency operations. "At this time, our top priority is slowing the spread of this virus through our community and preventing our healthcare system from becoming overwhelmed," said City of Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor. "Our emergency operations staff is actively meeting and is equipped to address this rapidly evolving situation. In coordination with the state, local agencies and the Washtenaw County Health Department, we are taking necessary steps to protect our community and follow safety recommendations to slow the spread of illness. I encourage everyone to stay informed and engaged and work together as one community." City Services:

In an effort to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the City of Ann of Ann Arbor is taking proactive steps to follow state and county health officials' recommendations. These measures will not impact critical services such as drinking water, police, fire, emergency operations, waste and recycling collection, however, some city functions may be modified. "Science tells us that we need decisive action to mitigate the spread of COVID-19," said City of Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor. "It's important we all take steps to protect our community and follow state recommendations such as, limiting non-essential work travel, encouraging employees to telework when feasible and following social distancing measures. Northbound Pontiac? Trail traffic will be detoured to eastbound Barton Drive, then eastbound Plymouth Road, then northbound Nixon Road, then westbound Dhu Varren Road, back to Pontiac Trail. Fuller Street from the Fuller/Glen Avenue/Fuller Road intersection to Glen Court:?Tuesday, May 5-Friday, Aug. 21.?Beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, Fuller/Depot Street vehicle traffic will be detoured southbound on North Main Street to Huron Street, then eastbound on Huron Street to Glen Avenue, then northbound on Glen Avenue back to Fuller Road. Traffic travelling along Fuller Road into town will follow the same detour route travelling in the opposite direction. Access to the University of Michigan Glen Avenue Parking Structure, as well as the residential housing units along Glen Court, will be maintained to Fuller Street. Glen Court traffic will be able to enter and exit from west of the project area.
Pedestrian traffic along the southerly side of Fuller Street will be maintained. Access along Depot Street will be maintained to all businesses, Wheeler Park and the Amtrak Station.??

Please also note, the city''s annual spring?dog license renewal program was suspended due?to the State of Michigan stay home order during the COVID-19 pandemic. Barton Drive from M-14 to Pontiac Trail: 7 a.m. Tuesday May 26-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2020.?Beginning 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020, Barton Drive between M-14 and Pontiac Trail will be closed to through traffic for utility work. A detour for Barton Drive will be implemented utilizing Whitmore Lake Road, Warren Road, Gleaner Hall Road, Pontiac Trail in both westbound and eastbound traffic for the closure between M-14 to Pontiac Trail. Local traffic will be able to use two-lane two-way traffic between M-14 and Brede Place, and one lane of eastbound traffic between Brede Place and Pontiac Trail. As this is eastbound only, traffic approaching homes along Barton Drive will have to use neighborhood streets west of their destination.?
Emergency traffic, as well as mail delivery, package delivery, trash, recycling and compost pickup, will have the same restrictions. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained.?

Southbound North Ashley Street will be closed to traffic for utility work. Vehicles?will be detoured to westbound?West Kingsley Street, then southbound North?First Street, then eastbound Miller Avenue, back to North Ashley Street.
Northbound traffic on North Ashley Street will be maintained.?Emergency vehicles will need to? follow detour. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on both sides of the road.?
East Madison at Ann Arbor Railroad tracks: Monday, May 11-Sunday?, May 31, 2020.?Beginning on?Monday, May 11, 2020, East Madison Street will close to traffic in the eastbound and westbound directions at the Ann Arbor Railroad for various?road,?sidewalk?and ramp?work.?
During this closure, the contractor will detour traffic via South Fifth Avenue, Hill Street and South Main Street. The contractor expects this closure and the related work to continue through Sunday, May 31, 2020, weather permitting.??The contractor will maintain pedestrian traffic during construction.?

On, Monday, March 23, 2020, South University Avenue will close completely between South State Street and Tappan Street.
