CLAN House Sign Up Information

This has been an unprecedented time for us all, and we are sure that you can agree, it has been both scary and unnerving.  But imagine facing the current situation with a cancer diagnosis.

CLAN Haven, our bed and breakfast facility, has remained open for those attending Aberdeen Royal Infirmary appointments.  Bethany, who has been staying with us, would like to share her story with you. 

To ensure social distancing, CLAN staff ensured that everything was cleaned down immediately after use.  They enforced that only a certain number of people were allowed in the common areas at one time, which was much better for putting my mind at ease.  The whole building is spotless, hand sanitiser wherever needed and they are really doing everything they can to keep the virus at bay.  
 

All of the staff members go above and beyond to help you in any way possible.  Whether it be bringing in post or deliveries for you, to putting on special evenings like Fish and Chip Thursday!  It''s these things that make it so much nicer to be staying here.  

CLAN Haven facilities are second to none.  You have everything you need to make you feel at home and it is so welcoming, a much better choice than staying at a hotel.  It is a touch of home when you are needing home the most.  

From Wednesday 18^th November - Sunday 6^th December we'll have over 60 auction items up for grabs! 

With specialist whisky, staycations, hampers, jewellery, art, golf, experiences and so much more available to bid on.

We are continuing to provide vital cancer support services to our clients through dedicated telephone support and providing a suite of online content aimed at allowing clients to engage in simple self help and stress management techniques.
Our bed and breakfast facility, CLAN Haven, for those attending Aberdeen Royal Infirmary appointments, remains open to ensure those individuals undergoing cancer treatment while far away from home, are supported. 

Any support that you are able to give, will mean so much at this increasingly difficult time.  Your donation today will help us to continue our work in supporting people affected by cancer during this time of uncertainty.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already generously donated and for your continued support of CLAN Cancer Support during this unprecedented time. 

We wanted to share with you how we are continuing to provide support to people affected by cancer through the adaption of our current services. 

CLAN has set up a dedicated telephone support service to provide continued emotional and practical support during the coronavirus pandemic. 

Staff and volunteers at each of CLAN''s bases are now available on local telephone numbers to talk to anyone affected by cancer, whether they themselves have a cancer diagnosis or they are concerned about a relative or friend. 

To ensure we can provide our ongoing support sessions, we have gone digital.  An online resource centre has been created where our clients will be able to access a range of services through social media, in a period where we are all having to adapt to spending more time at home. 

We want to continue engaging with our clients who very much need CLAN's support, and to provide new ways of offering physical and emotional support, even from a distance!

Our dedicated therapists have designed activities that our clients can do themselves, from simple reflexology techniques to short classes in Qi Jong.

As with many events across the country, our annual CLAN Walk has been affected by lockdown restrictions, but that doesn't mean it can't go ahead, albeit slightly differently! 
 

We need your help in spreading the word.  As the challenge is virtual, anyone can take part from anywhere in the world! Please share this email, like and share our social media posts and actively encourage your friends and family to get involved.
