Colgate Alumni Featured on Forbes's 30 Under 30

Forbes Magazine has recently named seven Colgate alumni across four industries to its 30 Under 30 list for 2020.

CampusReel- Founders Nick Freud ’15 and Rob Carroll ’15 created a way for high school students to see and hear authentic insider perspectives on college campuses. They host more than 17,000 student-created videos for over 350 colleges and universities including Colgate.

Chicory- Colgate grads Joey Petracca ’13 and Yuni Sameshima ’13 started Chicory in 2013 to allow consumers to buy the necessary ingredients to complete online recipes with one click. Check out how they are helping enhance the online grocery shopping experience.

Fair Harbor- Colgate siblings Caroline ’19 and Jake ’16 Danehy, who grew up near Fair Harbor in New York, saw plastic washing up on the shore of their favorite beach and vowed to do something about it. They use post-consumer recycled plastic bottles to create fabric for board shorts and other items of clothing.

Katherine Hele ’13- An investment banker at Bank of America specializing in industrial companies, Hele has advised on more than $70 billion in deals including Valvoline's IPO and DowDuPont's spinoff of Dow Inc as mentioned in her Forbes profile!

Maybe they want to study STEM in Australia or Singapore. Perhaps they want an internship in finance in London through our economics program, or one at an NGO in Geneva through international relations. Some want to study a language among native speakers, like German, Chinese, or Spanish.

With more than 100 semester-long off campus study options, there is something for everyone, and financial aid can pay for it. For students receiving need-based aid, Colgate will cover the difference in cost for a semester, so your financial contribution will not change.

Colgate students publish research in prominent national journals as first authors and travel to national and international conferences to present their work. The Lampert Institute offers grants to travel to places like Spain, Indonesia, and Australia to pursue projects in a variety of academic disciplines.
