The film has made $580 million worldwide in its first 10 days of release – $395 million of that internationally and worldwide the film earned $29.1 million in IMAX."

Comscore today announced the official worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of July 28, 2019, as compiled by the company’s theatrical measurement services.
Comscore’s Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Following its strong global opening last weekend, Disney's 'The Lion King' posted an estimated $218.3 million globally this weekend to take the cume to $962.7 million to date, making it the #5 global release of 2019. The domestic cume is $350.8 million, the #4 release of the year after just 10 days of release. Notably, the animated Chinese title 'Ne Zha' earned a massive $83.1 million this weekend for a cume to date of $92.3 million."

Comscore today announced the official worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of July 21, 2019, as compiled by the company’s theatrical measurement services.
Comscore’s Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Disney's 'The Lion King' roared to a global weekend of $454.4 million, the 9th highest global debut of all time and with the addition of China, where the film has earned an estimated $98 million since opening July 12, the worldwide cume to date is an estimated $531 million over 10 days, already the #7 film of the year. Internationally, 'The Lion King' added another $269 million this weekend (the 8th biggest of all-time even with China opening last weekend) to take the international cume to $346 million and if that wasn't enough, the film opened at #1 across all international markets."

Additionally, the film had strong No. 1 starts in North America ($60.8 million) and internationally ($120 million), where the film opened number one in 52 markets.”

Notably, Sony's 'Jumanji: The Next Level' crossed the $100 million mark in North America and the $300 million threshold worldwide."

Data around media consumption related to the COVID-19 pandemic

With specific regard to the spread of COVID-19 and the series of events that have followed, the Comscore team wants to offer its services and assistance to your team as we collectively navigate through this difficult time. At Comscore we are ready and willing to help ensure that you are maximising the resources from our team.
As
a company, we are currently analysing data around media consumption related to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as consumption connected to global developments, including increased work-from-home trends, school closures, and other pandemic associated developments. We are proactively investigating large-scale media consumption trends and will be reporting on events on a continual basis to ensure that our clients are up to speed on the trends. To begin, here are some data points specific to the UK market,
comparing the week ending on February 24 to the week ending on March 15:
Visits to health information sites went up by 20%, while visits to news sites in general went up by 27%.
High ticket items and retail of non-essential items were severely hit. On the other hand, groceries-related sites grew their traffic by 14%.
Perhaps
a sign that consumers are preparing themselves for a stay indoors, traffic to sports retail sites and events ticketing sites went down by 14% and 18% respectively.
Travel sites were also impacted: visits to airline websites surged 57% - a clear sign that consumers had to make changes to their travel plans. On the other hand, visits to car hire and ride-sharing sites or apps went only down by 6%.

Comscore today announced the official worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of March 15, 2020, as compiled by the company's theatrical measurement services.
Comscore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Sony''s ''Bloodshot'' starring Vin Diesel took the top spot on the global chart with $22.3 million earned this weekend in 51 territories (for a cume of $24.4 million to date) while the top earner in North America, Disney/Pixar''s ''Onward'' grabbed up $17.3 million this weekend, now taking its worldwide total to $101.69 million."

Comscore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Paramount''s ''Sonic The Hedgehog'' tops the global box office once again taking in an impressive $64.6 million in 57 territories for a worldwide cume of $203.1 million while newcomer, 20th Century Studios'' ''The Call Of The Wild'' in 41 territories enjoyed a solid debut of $40.22 million globally."
