CONAHEC MOBILITY PROGRAMS

Student Exchange Program (Fall 2020)

The CONAHEC student exchange program allows all undergraduate and graduate students of the CONAHEC member institutions to study one or two semesters abroad. Through this program, students pay their tuition fees at their home institution. The participating institutions do not need to have a bilateral exchange agreement to nominate their students.

The Fall 2020 call for applications is now open. If your institution is already a member of CONAHEC, remember to nominate your students through the student exchange portal. If you are not yet a member and would like to participate, please contact Santiago Castiello at santiagocg@email.arizona.edu.

Study Abroad Programs Summer 2020

CONAHEC invites all interested students to apply for a summer abroad program at one of its member institutions. This summer, we are offering 26 programs from 19 institutions in 7 different countries. Students from CONAHEC member institutions may get a discount. Please review the complete list of programs here. If you have any questions, please contact the host institution directly.

Short-term Faculty Exchange Program

The purpose of this program is to match faculty members from CONAHEC member institutions who will collaborate in the partial design and teaching of a course. Each professor is expected to travel to the partner institution for a week during the semester. During that time, the professor teaches a class, meets with other faculty members in order to discuss future potential projects, gives an open lecture to the community, etc. Professors are also expected to organize a virtual activity to give their students the opportunity to collaborate.

This semester, 16 faculty members will participate in the program. You can now submit a proposal to participate in the Fall2020 edition of this program! More information available in the CONAHEC website. If you are not yet a member and would like to participate, please contact Santiago Castiello at santiagocg@email.arizona.edu.

Humanities and Higher Education: Synergies between Science, Technology and Humanities

Higher Education in the World (HEIW) is a collective work published as part of the GUNi Series on the Social Commitment of Universities. It is the result of a global and regional analysis of higher education in the world. With a specific subject chosen for each edition, the Report reflects on the key issues and challenges facing higher education and its institutions in the 21st century. More than 510 internationally renewed authors from 97 countries have contributed to the GUNi Reports. 19.000 copies have been distributed in 130 countries.

GUNi has recently published the Higher Education in the World Report 7, devoted to the future of the humanities and the relation between science and humanities at the beginning of the 21st Century.

The Report is essential reading for university leaders, academics, administrators and policy-makers concerned with all the issues relating to the role of higher education.

Until now GUNi has published seven issues plus a synthesis (2009) requested by UNESCO for the World Conference on Higher Education (Paris, 2009).
