Country music history is filled with the enduring contributions of veterans�George Jones, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and so many others wore a uniform before donning a Country Music Hall of Fame medallion.

Each year on Veterans Day weekend, the Museum celebrates those veterans�and all of the other American heroes who've served and continue to serve�by hosting special veterans-focused programming and offering free admission to active and retired armed services members and their families.

This year, the Museum hosted a three-day celebration�including a performance from RaeLynn�and welcomed more than 9,400 visitors (more than 1,600 of whom redeemed free admission). Guests also wrote over 170 postcards to service members throughout the weekend.

With great record-business acumen and a passion for music, Bev Paul joined the staff of Sugar Hill Records and label founder Barry Poss in 1991. During Paul�s tenure, Sugar Hill emerged as one of the most important independent labels in history. Ricky Skaggs, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, Nickel Creek, and Robert Earl Keen released seminal albums on the label, which also embraced singer-songwriters such as Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt. Paul nurtured many young professional women who would go on to play key roles throughout the music industry.

The Louise Scruggs Memorial Forum is presented annually to honor a music industry leader who exemplifies the legacy of Louise Scruggs. Can't join us in person? Watch the livestream.

The Country Music Hall of Fame? and Museum, Hatch Show Print, Historic RCA Studio B and the CMA Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will be closed temporarily to the public starting at close of business Friday, March 13, 2020, through Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

The health and safety of our guests and employees is our top priority. While we do not have any confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) connected to the museum at this time, we must do all that we can to help ensure a safe and healthy environment for our visitors, employees and community, which at this time calls for us to close.

Starting Monday, March 16, we will begin issuing refunds on all purchases with arrival dates between March 14-31, 2020. If you would prefer to reschedule for a different date, please email us at reservations@countrymusichalloffame.org by Monday, March 16. Please allow up to 30 days for your refund to be processed.

The museum will continue to monitor and rely on the guidance from public health officials including Metro Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization to inform any decisions moving forward.

On March 28, authors Bobbie and Bill C. Malone host a concert and story session based on their new book, Nashville's Songwriting Sweethearts: The Boudleaux and Felice Bryant Story.

The Bryants penned hits that spanned decades and genres, including "Bye, Bye Love," "Love Hurts," and "Rocky Top." The Malones will share stories behind some of those iconic songs, then turn the Ford Theater stage over to a cast of musicians who''ll perform them, including husband-and-wife songwriters Jessi Alexander and Jon Randall, Gail Davies, Chris Isaak, Chris Scruggs, and Charles "Wigg" Walker, with accompaniment by guitarist Pat Bergeson.

The concert is presented in support of the exhibit We Could: The Songwriting Artistry of Boudleaux and Felice Bryant.

Students are invited to explore the Museum during Spring Break through fun activities dealing with the theme "collaboration." All K-12 students receive a Spring Break Activity Pack full of cool keepsakes to use in the galleries with friends or family, free with Museum admission. Request a Pack at the Museum box office, then use the activities to check out the exhibitions. Hands-on music and art workshops focusing on collaboration take place Thursday through Sunday in the Taylor Swift Education Center.
