EQUINE MANAGEMENT

Associate of Applied Science Degree

The Associate of Applied Science in Equine Management Degree is designed to provide students with equine facility management skills and the opportunity to integrate these skills into day-to-day equine production, health, boarding, and training practices. Program electives allow students to select additional equine courses to complement their specific interests. Graduates of the Equine Management curriculum earn the skills necessary for management and operation of horse production, training, boarding and sales facilities, including equine and business aspects.

EQUINE SCIENCE

Associate of Science Degree

The goal of the Associate of Science in Equine Science Degree is to prepare students for a bachelor's degree in equine science at a four-year institution. The general studies and program requirement components offer students a broad base of knowledge in English, communication, political science, economics, horse production, equine nutrition, horsemanship, and horse training. Program electives allow students to select additional equine courses to explore their specific area of interest.

This transfer degree is designed for students who want to pursue an equine studies degree at a four-year institution. Curriculum includes scientific approaches to horse production, horsemanship, training, exhibition and care.
