As this is a beat contest and not a full song contest, we aren't looking for songs with full vocal tracks over them. (background vocals, vocal chops, etc, are allowed)

?? What genre/style of production are you looking for in this contest?

We are looking for high energy BANGERS. This can be Hip-Hop beats, Trap, EDM Trap, etc. We're open to many styles as long your track hits hard.

?? Can I use other samples/vst's outside of the PHARAOH Beta Pack?

Yes you can. However, we are looking to see who can be the most creative with the beta, so try to keep your main track elements focused around the beta pack.

?? Can I use the full version of PHARAOH when it is released?

The full version of PHARAOH is going to be way bigger & much more diverse in sounds. And we highly encourage you to use it if you end up getting 1 of the 2500 licenses!

The contest deadline is October 23rd, you will have plenty of time to use the full version of PHARAOH after it is released on 10/16!

*Keep in mind, the old voting system has been removed from our judging platform, so judging will be based purely off of quality.

Recently I mentioned our newest project Pharaoh, and how our goal is to create the hardest hitting drums of all time.

To make this happen, there are 2 main things we had to focus on.

All the big producers usually spend a lot of time getting their drums to hit right or have great drum designers working with them.

And while there are tons of great producers out there, finding a great drum designer is extremely rare.

It takes an entirely different skill set & well trained ear to create top quality drums that you'd hear in a hit song.

We've all heard kicks that punch through the mix, or those 808''s that can even sound huge on an old iPhone.

Honestly, creating top tier drum samples is an art form in itself.

Starting with great samples is 80% of the battle, but the other 20% comes in the post processing and can be equally as important.

You really have to be able to understand what type of sound you're going for, so you can push your track to its max potential.
