With Demio, you have the option to create both Live and Automated Events... which one is right for your business?  

Live Events 

These are standard Events with a completely live room, presentation, chat, and more. Live Events are great for first-time presentations, Q&A sessions, hands-on training, or more personal interactions. 

Automated Events

These are similar to Live Events with a live chat area, however, the presentation, along with other elements, are completely automated. You can upload a video or use one of your past Demio recordings. Automated Events are great for recurring Events, product demos, marketing campaigns, and more.

It's hard to believe it's already been a month since our last product recap. Here's a rundown of what the team here at Demio has been up to:

Brand New Room Experience for Admins ????

If you had a chance to jump into the event room and run a session, you may have noticed our improved experience for Event Admins (which include Hosts, Presenters, and Moderators).

We wanted to make sure everything was more intuitive upon first glance—our improvements revolved around making the key actions (starting your event, enabling devices, managing attendees, etc.) more accessible and easier to understand. This was especially crucial when considering any first-time Event Admins that were being brought on to present or moderate events.

Reducing the learning curve means more time spent crafting your actual event, less headache onboarding any fellow team members or guest presenters, and avoiding any delays or awkward moments when it's time to go live.

Using our Onboarding to Better Serve You ????

We made a big internal improvement, for both new users and existing users, to better serve your specific needs and use cases—so that we can get the right resources to you and help you succeed in how you plan to use webinars for your company.

We've also made a few smaller improvements around account and company management that should set a great foundation for an upcoming improvement to how you can run webinars as a team. Our goal is to make it as frictionless as possible to bring on your teammates and manage your events together, so keep an eye out for more improvements coming in the future.

Weekly Educational Webinars

Finally, one of our goals from earlier this year involved investing in accessible educational resources for our users, which included the launch of Demio University: a free series of courses encompassing all sorts of topics to help you better run webinars.

Beginning this month, we're excited to announce that our team will be running live weekly educational webinars to help you do just that! We'll be covering the basics of building and running an effective webinar campaign and answering questions in a live Q&A.

It's been a big month for us here at Demio. We delivered the first step of something our team has been working hard to launch: our dedicated Activity area with options to manage People!

We cover some of the deeper changes and plans in our blog post, but let's go through a few of the amazing things you can now accomplish with ease!

View Relevant People

You're now able to view and manage people within a specific event and for a specific session.

Bonus: For any Automated events with On-Demand enabled, you'll be able to view People across a specified date range.

Manage Specific Segments ????

In addition to being able to select a specific session within your event, you'll be able to quickly filter based on behavior, as well dynamically search through the list.

It's never been easier to export the exact segment of People you're looking for!

Access More Useful Data

The new People table also presents data in a more accessible manner. Plus, our exporting options will mirror exactly what you see on the table.

This will be the starting point from which we plan to build on, adding more and more useful data points as we go.

Quickly Manage Individual People ?

You can also select any individual person from your list to view their People card for that event.

You'll be able to view their details, grab their Join Link, manage their registration, and see a complete Activity Log.

Check your Settings Anytime ??

Finally, and unrelated to the People area, we've revamped our dedicated System Check page!

This is a great resource to use/share anytime you want to check your settings outside of the Event Room.

The bulk of our updates this month have been items that improve the performance of Demio behind the scenes. We've also been hard at work laying the groundwork for changes that we'll be releasing over the next few weeks. These changes are designed to improve the webinar experience for both you and your Attendees—they'll be big ones!

That's not to say there wasn't anything new this month. We made a much-requested improvement to our Event Admins area to allow for more control over your Presenters and Moderators.

I just wanted to give you an early heads up that the Demio team will be doing scheduled maintenance of our platform on Friday, November 8th between 2 - 4 AM EST.

Periodic maintenance updates are necessary for our team to improve the reliability of Demio, but we understand that any outage can have an impact to your business. We always do our best to keep these interruptions as minimal as possible, and truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to grow together.

During this time, Demio will be releasing an update to our webinar chat, upgrades to our on-demand rooms, and deploying improvements to our back-end for increased webinar quality. 

We highly recommend rescheduling any live or automated sessions during this 2-hour maintenance period; we'll notify all users when the update has been successfully released.
