BEAST, our nonprofit dedicated to ending animal suffering across the world, is hosting a fundraising event for Australia on February 3rd. The event will be sponsored by our friends at Wild Turkey.

According to The New York Times,
"the New South Wales bushfires have scorched more than 15 million acres, killing one billion animals and pushing possibly as many as 100 threatened species closer to extinction."

All the event proceeds will be donated to WIRES, a wildlife nonprofit that is rescuing and caring for thousands of sick, injured and orphaned native animals.

Safety is our top priority and we will be following all the city guidelines so we can all feel comfortable as we move towards Phase 3. For this weekend, each table will be set with a new disposable paper menu (we recycle!) and we will launch our QR menu option next week. Tables are set only with a clean bottle of hand sanitizer and all cutlery comes to you on a sealed, sterile plastic pouch. Our staff is constantly disinfecting, changing new gloves and wearing masks! Every time you dine with Avant Garden, you contribute directly to a great cause. We believe good things are in store for our neighborhood, for our community.. but we also know how necessary it is, not just to believe but to play an active role in that progress.

Every Wednesday through Sunday; 4pm - 6pm, we will be offering a Free Meal to anyone in need from our front door. The meals are hot, healthy and plant-based. What began as a service during the pandemic will continue for the foreseeable future. It has been a pleasure to connect and maintain these wonderful relationships with our neighbors.

The feast is composed of 6-7 colorful classic Filipino dishes, for which our Executive Chef Raj Abat goes to the market every day to source new vegetables.
