Hi there,
Most decades won't have as much written about them as this single year.
2020 is a year like no other.
One giant reset.
Learn.
Unlearn.
Repeat.
It has been a reminder if one was ever needed, that if we have our health, we have everything. It has taught us how much we need social interaction. And, despite what the media would have you think, that we are hard-wired to help each other.
As for our businesses, survival can be seen as a victory.
For us, one minute we had a sold-out event with a big waiting list. Until we didn't.
When change came, it came quickly.
(I bet that sounds familiar for you, too.)
Agile was no longer a nice management mindset, but how you saved your business.
It bypassed adjective and went straight to a verb.
At that moment, we didn't furlough the team. We worked straight through. We built courses. And launched them.
We set out to help our small, vibrant and inspiring community that we are lucky to be a part of.
We are in the business to help you go from where you are now, to where you want to be. It is one of life's most important and incredible journeys.
To think that some of our courses, our research, our insights may have helped you, even in the smallest of ways, well, you can't ask for more than that.
Isn't that what it's all about?
I know the team are pretty tired right now, but I am so proud of them. This is a special team of people. Maybe once, or twice in your life, you will get to be part of a team who has this energy, who has this hunger, who are intent on making this as fun as possible. I know how rare this moment is, so I am just enjoying it. It may never come again. Grateful.
For me, to be part of this community has become an important part of my life, I have made life-long friends here. Some of my best memories have been formed here. And it turns out helping your community, to give more than you take, to be of service, makes you feel like you are doing something that matters. Fulfillment feeds our soul. Nutrition.
So, my thanks go out to the team, and to you, this amazing community. Beyond grateful.
Stay safe, stay curious,
