Cool and Creamy Avocado Pumpkin Soup
8 cups Chicken Bone Broth, divided
1 cup brewed green tea
4-5 firm, ripe, medium avocados, chopped?
15 ounces?pumpkin puree
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup lime juice?
1 small jalape?o chile pepper
4 scallions, white and green parts, chopped
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
1/2-1 teaspoon ground dry chiles?
1/2-1 teaspoon ground cumin
Salt and pepper
Directions:?Combine 4 cups of the broth and the green tea with the avocado, pumpkin, coconut milk, lime juice, jalape?o pepper, scallions, cilantro, garlic, chile, cumin, salt, and black pepper in a food processor or blender and process until smooth and creamy. Transfer to a large bowl.?
Gradually whisk in the remaining 4 cups broth until fully combined. Taste and adjust seasoning. Cover and place in the refrigerator to allow flavors to meld. When ready to serve, whisk again.?
You may add more broth, a small amount at time, until the desired consistency is reached. Serve in bowls and garnish with a sprinkling of the red bell pepper

1 nectarine or peach, cut into slices

Building a healthy foundation with sleep
How many hours do you sleep each night? The average among adults is about 6 hours each night. However, did you know that sleeping 6 hours or less makes you 4.2 times more likely to catch a virus compared to sleeping 7 or more hours?
A healthy immune system can fight off many infections. A sleep-deprived immune system doesn't work as well.?Sleep is a natural immune booster. The immune system functions best when it gets enough sleep. Seven or more hours of sleep is recommended for optimal health.?
Here are some of my favorite ways to create a sleep-friendly environment:
Set a regular bedtime-for both kids and adults
Make Epsom salt baths a habit
Turn off devices at least an hour before bedtime
Meditate for 15-20 minutes before bed
Darken your room with blackout curtains
Try a "white noise" machine
Set your room temperature between 65 and 72 degrees F
Make a to-list before bed to clear your mind
Invest in high-quality bedding
Drink relaxing bone broth before bed?
Try taking a melatonin supplement.

Spring has sprung and I don''t know about you but on?these rainy days I like to have a nice, warm bowl of hearty and delicious soup for my?lunch.?
Here is my most recent soup crush!?
Spicy Meatball Soup
1/2 pound ground meat (turkey, chicken, or beef)
1 large egg
1 tablespoon chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
Celtic or pink Himalayan salt and freshly ground black pepper
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
6 cups?Beef Bone Broth
1 can (14.5 ounces) fire-roasted diced tomatoes
1?2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Directions:?In a medium bowl, mix together the meat, egg, parsley, 1?4 teaspoon salt, 1?4 teaspoon black pepper, and the cayenne.?Form into 18 one-inch balls and set aside.
In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.?
Add the broth, tomatoes and their juice, and smoked paprika and bring to a simmer. Add the meatballs, stir gently, and cook until no longer pink inside, about 20 minutes. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.

Often recreating ourselves means letting go of unhealthy habits so we can form new, healthier habits. Getting a handle on our cravings, and not turning to junk food when we''re stressed is often the biggest hurdle for most of us.
My TOP TIP for getting a handle on cravings?is to start cutting back on the carbohydrates, especially refined sugars and processed foods, and incorporating intermittent fasting.
If you''re new to intermittent fasting try this simple way to ease in to it.
Plan to go food-free for 14 to 16 hours, and if this?seems daunting here''s what you do. Stop eating by 8:00 pm. When you get up have your coffee or tea with no sugar (a splash of plain, unsweetened cream will be fine), and sip on bone broth if hunger strikes. Then eat lunch at noon.?

2 scoops of?Complete Collagen Protein
8oz. cream cheese
8 large eggs
1?4 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional - top with fresh blueberries
Directions:?In a food processor or large mixing bowl combine cream cheese, butter, and eggs. It is easiest to use room temperature butter and cream cheese.
Add the collagen protein powder to the wet ingredient mixture and mix until fully combined. Add the vanilla extract and mix again.
Heat a skillet on medium heat. Pour in the pancake batter and cook for 2 minutes on each side. Once done, top with fruit of choice.
