The AI Driving Olympics are back! In this fifth edition, competitors from all over the world will compete in two different leagues with unique challenges: Urban Driving and Advanced Perception.

The AI-DO serves to benchmark the state of the art of AI in autonomous driving by providing standardized simulation and hardware environments for tasks related to multi-sensory perception and embodied AI.

AI-DO 5 challenges

The Urban Driving challenges of this year support using Duckiebots with wheel encoders and include:

Lane Following (LF): a great classic. Drive a Duckiebot the longest distance in a given time without infractions.
NEW! Lane following with Pedestrian (LFP): as for LF, but avoid duckies on the road!
NEW! Lane Following with Vehicles, multi-body (LFVM): deploy your agent on multiple Duckiebots to achieve best overall performance.

The Advanced Perception challenges of this year are based on the nuScenes dataset and include:

Detection: place a 3D bounding box around 10 different categories of objects, as well as estimating a set of attributes and the current velocity vector.
Tracking: track objects across time for 7 different object categories.
Prediction: predict the future locations of agents over a six second horizon.
NEW! Lidar segmentation: predict the category of every point in a set of point clouds, based on the recently released lidar segmentation annotations for nuScenes, featuring an astonishing 1,400,000,000 lidar points annotated with one of 32 labels.

Getting started: the Urban Driving League Webinars

We offer an introductory mini-webinar series to guide contestants through the steps needed to participate in the Urban Driving league. From running multiple baselines in simulation to deploying agents on Duckiebots. Webinars are free and on Zoom. Don't miss out!
