As the world continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19, new policies are rapidly being put in place to minimize the spread. In an effort to keep our community informed with the latest updates from the shipping industry, EasyPost will be notifying our customers of the most prominent changes via email. We will also be posting updates to our Twitter as soon as they become available.
In today''s news:
- USPS announced that effective April 3rd, a total of 22 countries will no longer be able to process or deliver international mail or services originating from the United States. Customers are asked to refrain from mailing items addressed to any of the affected countries:
- Bolivia, Botswana, Cayman Islands, Chad, Ecuador, Fiji, French Polynesia, Honduras, India, Kuwait, Libya, Madagascar, Maldives, Mongolia, New Caledonia, Panama, Peru, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe
- USPS now has expanded upon their original list of 22 affected countries with an additional 29 countries, effective April 7th. Customers are asked to refrain from mailing items addressed to any of the newly determined countries as well:
- Angola, Benin, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cameroon, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, Gambia, Guatemala, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malawi, Moldova, Mozambique, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Uganda, Uruguay, Vanuatu, and Venezuela
