The decrease in traffic and industrial production around the world has led to the  fall of carbon emissions by 17%. That''s the biggest drop since World War II!

The article, published in Nature, states that "At their peak, emissions in individual countries decreased by -26% on average." 26%. Let that sink in for a moment.

The paper also states that the post-pandemic political decisions will define global CO2 emissions for decades. Will we go into a rebound effect? Or will we make use of the environmental momentum?
