EEMUA E-learning Portfolio Update
Two new course modules have joined EEMUA's stable of industry good practice e-learning since March 2020: Pressure Systems e-learning and Process Safety Management e-learning – please find more details below.
Training prescribed by industry
Industry specified its training needs that EEMUA's e-learning now delivers interactively as short, practical courses to guide people in routine and exceptional engineering tasks across many roles. Based on contributions 'by industry, for industry' to EEMUA's knowledge base, together with elements from regulatory and other bodies, the training has been rigorously peer-reviewed by experienced industry experts from EEMUA's membership.
Awareness level
The modules provide specialist topic introductions and updates at the awareness level, to aid team development during routine and extraordinary times. Short and online, EEMUA's e-learning is accessible for teams even while they are stretched. The awareness training can be used to enhance team productivity and effectiveness by accelerating team members' and new managers' appreciation of team-mates' work.
Certificated
All EEMUA e-learning courses are certificated and available to all in the industry – free to EEMUA Members and at a discount for EEMUA Associates after log in.
Portfolio
Now, 12 e-learning modules complement EEMUA's extensive training portfolio of live online, blended learning and classroom courses – giving you choices of how and when to train. It has been particularly important to continue expanding the range of training available online for Members during the pandemic.

Process Safety Management E-learning
EEMUA's 90-minute Process Safety Management e-learning presents good practice at the awareness level. The training is based on approaches and elements found in established guidance.
Coverage extends through terminology, legislation, standards, guidance, asset Integrity, inspection, maintenance, risk assessment and management, hazard identification, safe working procedures, knowledge management, risk based safety, operational readiness, handover, employee selection, work permits, process safety metrics, incident reporting, investigation and more.
For Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Project Managers, Maintenance Engineers, Plant Operators, Technicians and more.

Pressure Systems E-learning
Based on EEMUA Publication 177 Guide to the UK Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (2000), this course offers around 50 minutes of training at the awareness level to help plant owners and operators understand how to apply the UK PSSR 2000, and in particular Regulations 2, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 13.
For those applying PSSR 2000, especially chief engineers, engineering managers and consultants, in-house engineering standards engineers, graduate engineers, group technical authorities, plant inspectors and operations managers, and process safety managers.
Coverage includes: interpretations, examination types, postponement, safe operating limits, imminent danger, repair, modification, changing operating conditions, pipeline safety, integrated pressure systems, written scheme of examination, definitions and more.
