Dear members,
 
as preannounced the 8th FDM World Congress will be hosted by the FDM Asian Association (FAA) and takes place from November 1st to 3rd, 2020 in Osaka,  Japan (CIVI convention center). The theme of this Congress is “Rediscovering FDM for the future”.   On the first two days, the congress itself will be held and on the third day there will be 3 special seminars. After the Congress the FAA organizes a 3 day 2 night group trip. Details will follow.
 
The EFDMA can propose topics & presenters for the congress program. If you are interested in presenting a topic on the 8.FDM World Congress, please send an email to office@fdm-europe.com  (Although of the congress theme, the presenters are free to choose their own topics).
 
We are looking forward to your presentation proposals!

2019 is coming to an end, time for a little review.
We also want to keep you up to date with news from the world of FDM and EFDMA.
 
FDM Symposium and EFDMA General Assembly in Vienna from March 28-30.
With 170 participants, the FDM Symposium was a complete success. Thanks again to all helpers, speakers and leaders of the workshops.
On March 28th the EFDMA General Assembly also took place with a large number of participants. The past board was adopted and the new one was elected for 2 years. Lukas Trimmel MD remains  EFDMA President.
 
FDM Instructor Synod - Nomenclature revised
In May 2019, the 8th Synod of FDM Instructors took place in Hallbergmoos (GER). The Synod is made up of all FDM Instructors who have been trained and tested in accordance with the EFDMA training regulations. The Synod is responsible for the training regulations of the EFDMA and draws up the curriculum for FDM training. The synod meets at regular intervals to review and adjust the EFDMA training regulations. Finally, the FDM nomenclature for the courses was revised according to the EFDMA Curriculum and integrated into new FDM courses.
 
FDM in Africa
Lukas Trimmel MD and Martina Nilkens were in Kenya again in October. The goal is to drive the development of the FDM in Africa - with success: in 2021 there will be the first FDM Instructor from Africa. That would be the base so that the teaching of the FDM can be spread there independently. Georg Harrer MD will hold the next FDM seminar and FDM IC exams in Burkina Faso in January 2020.

In 2019 our website and our member system were completely revised. It will be activated in the first half of the coming year, further informations will follow. Have fun with it!
 
FDM World Congress
From 1st to 3rd November 2020 the FDM World Congress will take place in Osaka, Japan.
The FDM Asian Association (FAA) will be a great host. Who hasn't registered yet - what are you waiting for? We would also like to remind you of the opportunity to give a lecture there, abstracts can still be submitted to the EFDMA secretariat until January 31, 2020.
 
FDM Science - 2nd Case Report Contest
You can now submit for the 2nd FDM Case Report Contest (FDM-CRC 2.0)! Deadline for study design: April 1, 2020. Deadline for completed study (CRC): Sept. 01, 2020. Prize money € 500, - The awarding ceremony is planned as part of the 8th FDM World Congress. (FDM-CRC 2.0 guidelines)
 
Advance notice 30 years of Triggerband
In 2021, the discovery of the Triggerband will be 30 years old. We want to honor this with a special event. More to come soon, let yourself be surprised ...

2019 neigt sich dem Ende zu, Zeit für einen kleinen Rückblick.
Außerdem wollen wir Euch über Neuigkeiten aus der Welt des FDM und der EFDMA auf den neuesten Stand bringen.
 
FDM Symposium und EFDMA-Generalversammlung in Wien vom 28.-30.3.
Mit 170 Teilnehmern war das FDM Symposium ein voller Erfolg. Herzlichen Dank noch mal an alle Helfer, Referenten und Leiter der Workshops.
Am 28.3. fand zudem die EFDMA-Generalversammlung mit hoher Teilnehmerzahl statt. Der alte Vorstand wurde verabschiedet und der neue für 2 Jahre gewählt.  Präsident der EFDMA bleibt Dr. Lukas Trimmel.
 
Synode der FDM-Instruktoren – Überarbeitung Nomenklatur
Im Mai 2019 fand in Hallbergmoos (GER) die 8. Synode der FDM-Instruktoren statt. Die Synode setzt sich aus allen FDM-Instruktoren zusammen, welche nach der Ausbildungsordnung der EFDMA ausgebildet und geprüft wurden. Sie ist für die Ausbildungsordnung der EFDMA verantwortlich, erstellt das Curriculum der FDM-Ausbildung. Die Synode trifft sich in regelmäßigen Abständen, um die Ausbildungsordnung der EFDMA zu überprüfen und anzupassen. Zuletzt wurde die FDM Nomenklatur für die Kurse gemäß EFDMA Curriculum überarbeitet und in neue FDM Kurse integriert.

FDM in Afrika
Dr. Lukas Trimmel und Martina Nilkens waren im Oktober zum wiederholten Mal in Kenia. Ziel ist es, die Entwicklung des FDM in Afrika voran zu treiben - mit Erfolg:  2021 soll es den ersten FDM-Instruktor aus Afrika geben. Das wäre der Grundstein, damit dort die Lehre des FDM eigenständig verbreitet werden kann. Dr. Georg Harrer hält im Jänner 2020 das nächste FDM Seminar, sowie FDM IC Prüfungen in Burkina Faso ab.

Neue Homepage & Mitgliedersystem
2019 wurde unsere Homepage und unser Mitgliedersystem komplett überarbeitet.  In der ersten Hälfte des kommenden Jahres wird sie freigeschaltet, weitere Infos folgen. Euch viel Spaß damit!
 
FDM-Weltkongress
Vom 1.-3. November 2020 findet der FDM Weltkongress in Osaka, Japan statt.
Die FDM Asian Association (FAA) wird ein toller Ausrichter sein. Wer sich noch nicht angemeldet hat -  worauf wartet ihr noch? Außerdem sei noch mal an die Möglichkeit erinnert, dort einen Vortrag zu halten, Abstracts dazu können noch bis zum 31.1.20 im EFDMA-Sekretariat eingereicht werden.

• Speicherung eurer Profilfotos und Zertifikate
• Relaunch Website und Mitgliederdatenbank

 
Wie bereits vorangekündigt gibt es bald einen Relaunch der EFDMA Website und des Mitgliederbereiches.

Bitte speichert bis spät. 22.1.20 eure Profilfotos  und zur Sicherheit auch euer FDM Basic Certificate mit ID Nummer* aus eurem Mitgliederprofil auf eurem PC ab (sofern nicht sowieso dort gespeichert, oder FDM BC ausgedruckt vorhanden), da diese leider nicht in die neue Datenbank übernommen werden können.

Ihr erhaltet dann zeitgerecht eine Info zur Umstellung auf das neue Mitgliedersystem, Prüfung eurer Daten und Relaunch der Website.

*Zertifikate ohne ID Nummer sind nicht im Mitgliederprofil gespeichert, sondern bereits bei der EFDMA abgelegt (-> keine Aktion nötig).

Für Fragen steht euch das EFDMA Sekretariat gerne zur Verfügung.

IMPORTANT - please read, this is about:

• Storage of your profile photos and certificates
• Relaunch website and member database

As previously announced, there will soon be a relaunch of the EFDMA website and the member area.

Please save your profile photos latest by Jan. 22nd, 2020 and for security also your FDM Basic certificates with ID number* from your member profile on your PC (if not already saved there, or available as print version in your storage), because unfortunately these cannot be transferred to the new database.

You will then receive timely information on the switch to the new member system, checking your data and relaunching the website.

* Certificates without an ID number are not saved in your member profile, but already saved at the EFDMA (-> no action required).

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the EFDMA office.

I hope you have already logged into your member profile in the new member area and checked your data (for details see video tutorial for the first login). In your new member area you will then find a guide for the new member area under the item "Member files".

As previously announced, your automatic payment agreements for the membership fee, which you concluded via the old member system, could not be transferred to the new member system for data protection reasons. They will be deleted. Therefore, the date of the "start date" or "expiry date" in your member profile under the item "member account" does not always match the actual date of the next payment due. So you can ignore this point for now.

You will receive an email with payment information from the EFDMA office as soon as payment is possible in your new member profile. So you don''t have to do anything until then.


Info in advance:

All those members for whom the membership fee has already been due will receive the email with payment information by the end of September.

All those members for whom the membership fee is due in the coming weeks / months, or even in 2021, will then also receive an email with payment information from the EFDMA office as soon as the payment is possible in your member profile.

We only have to go through this procedure once together, we ask for your understanding. After that, the membership fee is automatically debited annually and you don''t have to worry about anything ??

This information does not affect all those members who registered as members in the new member system after July 26th, 2020, you have already activated the automated payment agreement with the first payment.

ich hoffe ihr habt euch bereits in euer Mitgliederprofil im neuen Mitgliedersystem eingeloggt und eure Daten gepr?ft (Details siehe Videoanleitung erster Login ). In eurem neuen Mitgliederbereich findet ihr dann unter dem Punkt "Mitglieder Dateien" eine Anleitung f?r den neuen Mitgliedebereich.
 
Wie bereits vorangek?ndigt konnten eure automatischen Zahlungsvereinbarungen f?r den Mitgliedsbeitrag, welche ihr ?ber das alte Mitgliedersystem abgeschlossen habt, aus Datenschutzgr?nden nicht in das neue Mitgliedersystem ?bertragen werden. Sie werden gel?scht. Daher stimmt auch das Datum bei "Startdatum" bzw. "Ablaufdatum" in eurem Mitgliederprofil unter dem Punkt "Mitgliedskonto" nicht immer mit dem tats?chlichen Datum der n?chsten f?lligen Zahlung ?berein. Ihr k?nnt diesen Punkt also vorerst ignorieren.
 
Ihr erhaltet eine Email mit Zahlungsinfos vom EFDMA Sekretariat, sobald die Zahlung in eurem neuen Mitgliederprofil m?glich ist. Bis dahin m?sst ihr also nichts tun.

All jene Mitglieder, bei denen der Mitgliedsbeitrag bereits f?llig war, erhalten die Email mit Zahlungsinfos bis Ende September.
 
All jene Mitglieder bei denen der Mitgliedsbeitrag erst in den kommenden Wochen/Monaten, oder sogar erst 2021 f?llig wird, erhalten dann auch eine Email mit Zahlungsinfos vom EFDMA Sekretariat, sobald die Zahlung in eurem Mitgliederprofil m?glich ist.
 
Dieses Prozedere m?ssen wir nur einmal gemeinsam durchlaufen, wir bitten um Verst?ndnis. Danach wird der Mitgliedsbeitrag automatisch j?hrlich abgebucht und ihr braucht euch um nichts mehr zu k?mmern ??
 
All jene Mitglieder die sich erst nach 26.7.20 neu als Mitglied im neuen Mitgliedersystem registriert haben, betrifft diese Info nicht, ihr habt die automatisierte Zahlungsvereinbarung bereits durch die erste Zahlung aktiviert.

New date for the FDM IC exam in 2020:

• November 2nd or 3rd or 4th, 2020 in Hallbergmoos (Germany) 
  • Languages: German, English

Since 2012, EFDMA has been offering the FDM International Certificate, the "FDM IC".
For this purpose, a commissional exam is to be taken in front of a jury of FDM Instructors with a theoretical and practical part.
With this review, the EFDMA confirms that the FDM Practitioner is highly qualified for FDM treatment according to the international guidelines of the curriculum and is therefore also recommended  as "IC" on the list of FDM Practitioners on the EFDMA website.

Mit dieser Pr?fung best?tigt die EFDMA dass der/die FDM-TherapeutIn nach den internationalen Richtlinien des Currciulum f?r FDM Behandlungen besonders qualifiziert ist und somit auch auf der Therapeutenliste der EFDMA Website mit der Bezeichnung IC empfohlen wird.

In September 1991 Stephen Typaldos started the history of FDM by "discovering" the Triggerband and we would like to celebrate this special event with you. Our journey begins on September 16^th, 2021 in the evening with a lecture on the history of the Triggerband. On September 17^th we will dive into the practice interactively and in the evening  we will celebrate the Triggerband's 30th birthday. On September 18^th we will go on a hike in the Vienna Woods, together with family & friends and explore the Triggerband in nature. The "Krainerh?tte" in Baden near Vienna (Austria), offers us the right setting for this special event. Details on the program and hotel booking will follow!

"30 Jahre Triggerband - ein interaktives Jubil?um"
 
Im September 1991 begann Stephen Typaldos  die Geschichte des FDM durch die "Entdeckung" des Triggerbands und wir m?chten dieses besondere Ereignis mit euch feiern. Unsere gemeinsame Reise beginnt am 16.9.21 abends mit einem Vortrag zur Geschichte des Trigggerbands. Am 17.9.21 tauchen wir tags?ber interaktiv in die Praxis ein und lassen abends das Triggerband zum 30. Geburtstag hoch leben. Am 18.9.21 begeben wir uns gemeinsam, mit Familie & Freunden,  auf eine Wanderung im Wienerwald und erkunden das Triggerband in der Natur. Den passenden Rahmen f?r dieses besondere Event bietet uns die "Krainerh?tte" im Helenental (Baden bei Wien). Details zum Programm und zur Hotelbuchung folgen!

as preannounced the EFDMA member system was converted to a new system today, on July 27^th,  and the new EFDMA website is also online (www.fdm-europe.com ). Due to data protection reasons, your current password cannot be transferred, so we ask you to do the following as soon as possible, so that you have access to the new member area:
 
Instructions for the first login in the new member system:
 
1) Here a video tutorial for the first login.

2) Here a written step-by-step instruction for the first Login:

1. On the new EFDMA website go to the menu item "Members" - submenu item  "Login"
2.  Click on "Lost your password?" And enter the email address with which you have previously logged into the EFDMA member system (only this is possible, your account is connected to this email)
3. Go to your email account and click on the link in the EFDMA email and enter your new password.
4. Then repeat step 1 and log in with your new password. Then click on the "Change profile" menu item and check your contact details and adjust them if necessary. If you change something please do not forget to click on "Update" (red button at the bottom).
5. Here you will find a general description and a video of the member area.
6. Please DO NOT edit the menu item "Members account" and "Payment" yet! Payments possible from August 31^st, 2020, you will receive an individual email.
7. If you no longer want to edit your profile, please go to "Logout". You can then continue to use the website (menu bar at the top).

   3. Auf deinen Emailaccount gehen und in der Email der EFDMA auf den Link klicken und dein neues Passwort eingeben.
   4. Dann Punkt 1 wiederholen und mit deinem neuen Passwort einloggen. Dann auf den  Men?punkt "Profil ?ndern" klicken und deine Kontaktdaten pr?fen und gegebenenfalls anpassen bitte. Wenn du etwas ?nderst bitte nicht vergessen auf "Aktualisieren" (roter Button ganz unten) zu klicken.
   5. Hier findest du eine allgemeine Beschreibung und ein Video zum Mitgliederbereich.
   6. Bitte den Men?punkt Mitgliedskonto und Zahlungen noch NICHT bearbeiten! Zahlungen erst ab 31.8. m?glich, du bekommst eine individuelle Email dazu.

Dear EFDMA members,
 
it was a crazy year 2020, let''s look back and give you an outlook on next year:
 
FDM training:
The EFDMA is the only FDM organization in Europe that is based on non-profit structures, so it is a non-profit association based in Austria. The board, as well as project-related committed members, are volunteers, i.e. work for the association free of charge. The EFDMA itself does not offer any FDM courses and therefore has no financial advantage from the courses. The EFDMA or the Synod of Instructors sets the standards and examines future FDM Instructors according to strict guidelines. The Synod is responsible for the training regulations of the EFDMA, creates the curriculum of the FDM training and meets in regular intervals to review and adapt the training regulations of the EFDMA (also voluntary, i.e. free of charge). Course providers can hire the FDM Instructors certified by the EFDMA to hold FDM courses as part of their course offerings or some FDM Instructors also have their own course organizations. The qualified FDM training and further education by these FDM Instructors and course providers are an essential component in order to achieve our vision, that every patient in Europe has access to a qualified treatment according to the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM).
 
In 2020 there were two FDM IC exams in Europe (Poland and Germany) with a total of 15 participants. There is also a new FDM IC in Africa. We congratulate the 12 new FDM IC therapists once again.
The next FDM IC exam is scheduled for May 3^rd, 2021 in Hallbergmoos (GER).
 
New website& member system
In summer 2020, the new EFDMA website went online with the new member system. The biggest challenge was on the one hand to adapt the website to the requirements of the different users (patients, members, FDM interested parties, Instructors, EFDMA office) and on the other hand to construct a member system in the background, which links with the therapist search, membership fee payments and the complete member administration. On the whole, we succeeded in doing this after many hours of smoking heads and of course professional IT support. As always, however, some problems only arise when everything is online and the various users are using all functions in real operation ??. So we are still working on this complex construction and ask for your understanding if not everything is going perfectly yet. As always, you can contact our office if you have any questions about the new member system or the website. Martina will be happy to help you ??.
 
We would like to thank all members who immediately activated the new automated annual debiting of the membership fee. This is a great relief for us and you will not have to think about payment in the future either ??.
 
Social media support
A big thank you to Sheila Boateng (EFDMA member). Since summer she supports the EFDMA on a voluntary basis in the field of social media and shows us new exciting ways to spread the FDM & the Typaldos method. There are e.g. short information videos for patients, videos on the subject of tips for beginners, challenges in FDM, excerpts from lectures and much more. In order to make posts and videos accessible to all our members who speak different languages, we are constantly looking for support with the translation. If you are interested, send us an email to office@fdm-europe.com  or a message via Facebook.

FDM World Congress
The 8^th FDM World Congress with the title "Rediscovering FDM for the future" will be hosted by the FDM Asian Association (FAA) and was planned for November 2020 in Osaka, Japan. Unfortunately the Congress had to be postponed due to the current situation and it is not yet clear if and when it will take place.

FDM Science - 3rd Case Report Contest
You can still submit your study design for the 3^rd FDM Case Report Contest (FDM-CRC 3.0) until January 10^th, 2021.
Deadline for completed study (CRC): April 1^st, 2021. Prize money ? 500, -. Details here: FDM-CRC 3.0 guidelines.
 
 
EFDMA General Assembly
The EFDMA General Assembly will take place in Hallbergmoos (Germany, near Munich) on the evening of May 3^rd, 2021.  A new board will be elected. Before that, we may plan an FDM Workgroup for EFDMA members. But details will follow. FDM-IC exams will take place in the mornings.
 
 
So stay tuned via the EFDMA member mail and our  Social Media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube).
 
Many thanks to all members who, despite the tough times this year, continue to support the EFDMA as an association with their membership. As Typaldos said: "FDM is a gift - and a burden!"

es war ein verr?cktes Jahr 2020,  lasst uns kurz darauf zur?ckschauen  und Euch auch einen Ausblick auf n?chstes Jahr geben:
 
FDM Ausbildung
Die EFDMA ist in Europa die einzige FDM-Organisation die auf gemeinn?tzigen Strukturen aufgebaut ist, sie ist also ein gemeinn?tziger Verein, mit Sitz in ?sterreich. Der Vorstand, sowie projektbezogen engagierte Mitglieder, sind ehrenamtlich, also unentgeltlich f?r den Verein t?tig. Die EFDMA bietet selbst keine FDM-Kurse an, hat somit keinen finanziellen Vorteil von den Kursen.  Die EFDMA bzw. die Synode der Instruktoren legt die Standards fest und pr?ft angehende FDM-Instruktoren nach strengen Richtlinien. Die Synode ist f?r die Ausbildungsordnung der EFDMA verantwortlich, erstellt das Curriculum der FDM-Ausbildung und trifft sich in regelm??igen Abst?nden, um die Ausbildungsordnung der EFDMA zu ?berpr?fen und anzupassen (ebenfalls auf ehrenamtlicher, also unentgeltlicher Basis). Kursanbieter k?nnen die von der EFDMA zertifizierten FDM-Instruktoren engagieren, um FDM-Kurse im Rahmen ihres Kursangebotes abzuhalten bzw. haben manche FDM-Instruktoren auch eigene Kursorganisationen. Die qualifizierte FDM-Aus- und Weiterbildung durch diese FDM-Instruktoren und Kursanbieter ist ein essentieller Baustein, um unserer Vision, dass jeder Patient in Europa Zugang zu einer qualifizierten Behandlung nach dem Fasziendistorsionsmodell (FDM) erhalten kann, n?her zu kommen.

2020 fanden in Europa zwei FDM IC Pr?fungen statt (Polen und Deutschland) mit gesamt 15 TeilnehmerInnen. Auch in Afrika gibt es einen neuen FDM IC. Wir gratulieren den 12 neuen FDM IC TherapeutInnen nochmals herzlich.
Die n?chste FDM IC Pr?fung ist f?r den  3.5.21 in Hallbergmoos (GER) anberaumt.
 
Neue Homepage & Mitgliedersystem
Im Sommer 2020 ging die neue EFDMA Website mit dem neuen Mitgliedersystem online.  Die gr??te Herausforderung dabei war einerseits die Website an die Anforderungen der unterschiedlichen User (Patienten, Mitglieder, FDM-Interessierte, Instruktoren, EFDMA Sekretariat) anzupassen und andererseits ein Mitgliedersystem im Hintergrund zu konstruieren, welches mit der Therapeutensuche, den Mitgliedsbeitragszahlungen und der kompletten Mitgliederadministration verkn?pft ist. Dies ist uns im Gro?en und Ganzen nach vielen Stunden mit rauchenden K?pfen und nat?rlich professioneller IT-Unterst?tzung gut gelungen. Wie immer treten aber manche Probleme  erst auf, wenn alles online ist und die verschiedenen User alle Funktionen im Echtbetrieb nutzen ??. Wir feilen also immer noch an dieser komplexen Konstruktion und bitten um Verst?ndnis, wenn noch nicht alles perfekt l?uft. Bei Fragen zum neuen Mitgliedersystem und zur Website k?nnt ihr euch wie immer an unser Sekretariat wenden. Martina hilft euch gerne weiter ??.
 
Wir bedanken uns bei allen Mitgliedern die sofort die neue automatisierte j?hrliche Abbuchung des Mitgliedsbeitrages aktiviert haben. Dies ist eine gro?e Erleichterung f?r uns und ihr m?sst zuk?nftig auch nicht mehr an die Zahlung denken ??.
 
Social Media Unterst?tzung
Ein gro?es Dankesch?n an Sheila Boateng (EFDMA Mitglied); sie unterst?tzt die EFDMA seit dem Sommer ehrenamtlich im Bereich Social Media und zeigt uns neue, spannende Wege auf, um das FDM & die Typaldos-Methode zu verbreiten. Es gibt z.B. kurze Infovideos f?r Patienten, Videos zum Thema Tipps f?r Anf?nger, Herausforderungen im FDM, Ausschnitte aus Vortr?gen und einiges mehr.  Um Posts und Videos f?r all unsere verschieden-sprachigen Mitglieder zug?nglich zu machen, suchen wir laufend Unterst?tzung bei der ?bersetzung. EFDMA Generalversammlung

Davor planen wir eventuell einen FDM-Arbeitskreis f?r EFDMA Mitglieder. Details folgen aber noch. Vormittags werden FDM-IC Pr?fungen stattfinden.

Vielen Dank an alle Mitglieder, die trotz der harten Zeit dieses Jahr, die EFDMA als Verein weiterhin mit ihrer Mitgliedschaft unterst?tzen. Wie Typaldos sagte: "FDM is a gift - and a burden!"
