Marco Ongaro: New Director-General
This month, Mr Marco Ongaro has taken up his position as EIPA’s Director-General. Events took place following the appointment by EIPA’s European Board of Governors. Mr Ongaro replaces the outgoing Director-General Prof. Dr Marga Pröhl who finished her third mandate on 31 October.

European Public Sector Award 2019
On 6 November, EIPA presented the European Public Sector Awards 2019 to the three winning projects in the three administrative categories – European and National, Regional and Supra-Local and Local. This year's winners showed how innovation in the public sector can really help to make life better for citizens. They received their EPSA 2019 trophies during the final award ceremony, which took place at the Provincial Government House in Maastricht, where the Maastricht Treaty was signed in 1992.

Presenting the new CAF2020
In October, the network of CAF Correspondents met in Helsinki to complete the work towards the new version of the CAF model, the CAF2020. Thomas Prorok (EU CAF Resource Centre) and Fabrizio Rossi (EIPA) presented the new version of the model to the network of CAF Correspondents. The approved version will be presented at the EUPAN DG meeting at the end of this month.
