We’ve updated our iOS Forensic Toolkit, our mobile acquisition tool for extracting data from a range of Apple devices. Version 5.20 can now image the file system and decrypt the keychain regardless of which version of iOS the device runs. Supported devices include all models from the iPhone 5s up to and including the iPhone X, the A5..A11-based iPad range, as well as Apple TV HD /4K. The new version of the Toolkit can also perform a partial file system extraction from locked Apple devices even if the screen lock password is unknown.

Elcomsoft iOS Forensic Toolkit 5.20 is also available as part of the Elcomsoft Mobile Forensic Bundle, which includes a comprehensive range of mobile and cloud acquisition and analysis tools. Its most recent updates include company’s breakthrough possibility to download backups from 2FA-enabled iCloud accounts, as well as the extraction of Health data (a unique source of evidence), synced messages, Screen Time passwords and lots of other valuable data.

A jailbreak is required in order to perform physical acquisition. The new release of Elcomsoft iOS Forensic Toolkit makes use of the unpatchable exploit released with the checkra1n jailbreak. Product Updates

We have updated several products. Elcomsoft iOS Forensic Toolkit 5.21 received BFU keychain extraction, allowing experts to access parts of the keychain from locked and disabled iPhones that have or not have been unlocked after a reboot. Elcomsoft Phone Breaker 9.40 and Elcomsoft Phone Viewer 4.80 got Skype support, allowing experts to extract Skype chats, media files, contact lists and metadata directly from the user’s Microsoft Account.

Changes to Licensing Policies

Early next year, we will be implementing a number of changes to the content of our product bundles and to the update policy. These changes will directly affect many existing customers, and will be applicable to all future sales. While we don’t have the exact deadline in mind, the changes will be applied during Q1 2020. In this email, we’ll clarify what’s new and changed in our licensing policy.

The New Bundles

We are deprecating the two current software bundles, the Mobile Forensic Bundle and both the Standard and Forensic editions of the Password Recovery Bundle. Instead, we are introducing the following new bundles:

— Elcomsoft Mobile Forenic Bundle
— Elcomsoft Desktop Forensic Bundle
— Elcomsoft Premium Forensic Bundle

The content of the Mobile Forensic Bundle remains unchanged, with just a nominal price adjustment. The updated, deeply discounted Desktop Forensic Bundle is based on the current Forensic edition of the Password Recovery Bundle, and includes all the tools from the top edition – just with a smaller number of concurrent agents for Elcomsoft Distributed Password Recovery. The new Desktop Forensic Bundle is available at less than half the price of the original Forensic edition it replaces, and includes significantly more tools compared to the similarly priced Standard edition.

Finally, the all-new Premium Forensic Bundle includes every tool we ship in the first two bundles. All tools are provided in their respective top (Forensic) editions, for both Windows and Macs. You are more than welcome to contact us for marketing materials, complete price lists and detailed contents of the new bundles.

Upgrade Path

We’ll be offering a straightforward upgrade path to the users of our existing bundles. In the beginning of 2020, we’ll introduce discounted update packages for existing customers. Please contact our Sales team for details and the price list.

The New Update Policy

We unified our update policy, making it simpler than ever. One year of maintenance and updates is included with every new order. Each additional year will be priced at 50% of the then-current MSRP. We are getting rid of the tiered multi-year support plan discounts, yet customers whose maintenance and update plans have already expired will be eligible for the same 50% discount when they are ready to update. This is your chance to reach customers who haven’t updated for years, and would’ve lost their update discount under the old rules.
