At the debate take part Maria Eugenia Errobidarte, Senior Consultant for WGSN Mindset, and Enrico Cietta, economist and CEO of Diomedea: these two sector experts have been entrusted with the task of analysing the current scenario and the future prospects of the retail sector. The pandemic has, in fact, radically transformed consumer habits and experiences, and retailers are now developing new strategies to cope with these epochal changes.

Expo Riva Schuh and Gardabags will be accompanied by a series of "phygital" elements, aimed at reducing the distance and finding alternative solutions for the close-knit network of relationships and exchange that generally make up part of every trade fair and which facilitate discussion and dialogue within the sector.?

Expo Riva Schuh and Gardabags will be hitting the play button, kicking off on Wednesday 22^nd July, with "THE COVID STORM: FROM DIFFICULTIES TO RELAUNCH" the first in the #PLAYfashion online series.

Providing a clear snapshot of the sector and discussing consumer trends, future predictions and potential ways of supporting the relaunch of the supply chain, transforming the crisis into an opportunity, will be Joao Maia - Managing Director of Apiccaps (Portugal), Leticia Sperb Masselli - Managing Director of the Brazilian Footwear Project (Abical?ados - Brazil), Aqeel Ahmed Panaruna - Chairman of CLE (Council for Leather Exports - India) and Li Yuzhong - Chairman of CLIA (Chinese Leather Industry Association) representing the various trade associations.

Expo Riva Schuh and Gardabags will be back from January 16th to 19th 2021 with a special one-off edition, which signals a new lease of life for the sector, thanks to new dynamics and new digital possibilities, given that it is impossible to organise physical events.

The aim is to provide continuity to the heart of the event: by understanding the evolution of the market in order to offer professionals an array of tools, reflections and solutions, bringing together the key players in the international footwear field.

EXPO RIVA SCHUH & GARDABAGS: WINTER EDITION BROUGHT FORWARD TO DECEMBER 2020

Having carried out a careful evaluation of the various options and in consultation with all those involved, from exhibitors and visitors to national and international stakeholders, Riva del Garda Fierecongressi has established the new dates for the next edition of Expo Riva Schuh and Gardabags: the events will take place from December 11th to 14th 2020.

The decision to re-formulate the exhibitions calendar, by bringing the January edition forward to December demonstrates a positive impulse for the companies in this sector towards a return to commercial exchange at international level.
