I wanted to share the latest update on how coronavirus is impacting manufacturing supply in China, and what that means for you and your orders with Fictiv.
First and foremost, we are grateful that our team members and manufacturing partners in Guangzhou are safe and healthy. Our team is prepared to resume office work starting Monday, February 17th, but this is dependent on approval from local health departments.
Second, agility is the core strength of Fictiv. Our ability to respond to this situation is inherent in our business model. While the impact of this virus remains unpredictable, you can trust we will continue to meet your deadlines and be a very predictable part of your supply chain.
To that end, we have already shifted production away from the Guangdong province to our vetted network of partners in the US, Taiwan, and India. We have highly trained quality staff ("boots on the ground") in place at our failover locations, which means there will be no change to our quality standards nor in the timeliness of your outcomes.
We will keep you informed as this story develops. Please reach out to us at email@example.com for any questions about in-flight orders.
