From one day to the other, all of our lives have changed. We are all affected in one way or the other.

It is no secret that we - and the entire travel industry - are hit hard. The boring and hard truth is that, in these last few days, we've experienced a severe decline in bookings as a consequence of the coronavirus, and that unfortunately means we have to adjust our manpower accordingly. It's tough.

Our employees are the heart of First Hotels and they work around the clock to create memorable experiences for our guests, even in these difficult times.

In addition, due to restrictions issued by the government, we find it necessary to close some of our hotels temporarily and until 14 April 2020. Here you can find an overview over the hotels that are closed.

Have you booked a stay at one of the hotels that are closing? Please contact the hotel directly to find an alternative solution.

At all our hotels, we're still doing everything we can to ensure that you feel safe. Despite everything, our number one priority is the wellbeing of our guests and employees. We follow all advice and recommendations from health and government officials, both nationally and globally.

We have initiated extra hygiene and disease prevention efforts, such as extra stations with hand sanitizer and extra measures towards cleaning of common areas. You can read more about how we ensure the safety of our guests and employees here.

We don't know how long these times will last, but when the situation is normalised and you're ready to travel again, we will be here for you, just as you are here for us.

Until then, we encourage you to support your local community, restaurants and cafés. And we dearly hope that you'll prioritise going on vacation in the Nordic countries in the time that comes.
