?It''s?been four weeks since my kids have attended school.
?Four weeks of working mostly from home, honestly more than ever.
?Four weeks of our small business pivoting to being an online shop.
?Four weeks leading me to a chocolate photo shoot in my jammies. ??
Before Corona, I was already juggling raising two teenagers with trying to run and grow a small business. Now I''m doing that without them having school or activities to keep them engaged. Sure, they have online assignments, but I am not able to devote the time to be their classroom monitor. Cue the mom guilt!
??My kids understand what is happening and how they can contribute.
??They understand why we are being financially disciplined, and they do occasionally help with the many, many dirty dishes (when I remind them).
??They are learning important survival skills (Max, for example, learned how to make chocolate chip cookies?and Sam learned to host a Zoom birthday party).
That''s my mom experience. There are?many styles and I honor them all.
?Bless the expecting moms and the moms with toddlers.
?Bless the dog moms and?empty nest moms.
?Bless the stay-at-home moms, the working moms, and the stay-at-home working moms.
