Experience the unforgettable fun of summer camp no matter where you are! Choose from dozens of engaging online classes and create a joy-filled, innovation-infused, camp-away-from-camp adventure for your pre-K–8th grader.

Our small group classes are led by enthusiastic instructors who know how to connect with kids, empowering them to express their ideas and share their designs. New classes are added every week.

Dear Galileo families,

If your week has been anything like our family’s, you’ve been figuring out how to create structure for your kids, coming up with new playdate policies (now off the table) and investigating distance-learning options—all while trying to balance work demands. None of it is easy, but I hope we can all find new ways to connect and grow. 

At Galileo, our campers, families and staff are our top priority, and I want you to know that we''re doing everything we can to keep our community healthy and safe.

We understand that your plans for the summer (and even this week) are probably uncertain right now. Our team is here to support you every step of the way, starting with answers to a few questions you might have for us.  

Where can I find up-to-date information about Galileo summer camps?

The latest information about how we''re responding to COVID-19 is on our blog. We’ll continue to update this page as information evolves, and will email enrolled families if there are any changes to camp schedules.  

What steps is Galileo taking to prepare for summer?

In addition to our longstanding and rigorous safety procedures and staff training protocols, we are closely monitoring and adopting the latest guidelines on health and safety, cleaning and preparedness from the CDC and local departments of health where we operate camps. Learn more in the Health & Safety section of our FAQ page.

How can I keep my family healthy in the meantime?

Follow the CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of illness including hand washing carefully, not touching your face, disinfecting surfaces and maintaining distance from other people. We also strongly urge you to avoid the draw of even one-on-one playdates or otherwise gathering outside your home.

Will Galileo be able to run camps this summer?

Currently, we expect to run camp this summer as planned. We will continue to work closely with our school hosts and local and state public health authorities as recommendations evolve. In the event that we must close a camp, we will communicate immediately with camper families and staff. 

What is Galileo’s refund policy?

If it becomes necessary to cancel your 2020 camp sessions, your entire purchase will be credited back to your Galileo account and may be applied toward a Galileo camp purchase in 2021, 2022 or 2023 (at 2020 prices).

What''s next? 

As the news continues to evolve, we''ll all keep making the best decisions we can for our families and communities. At Galileo, we love providing safe, joyful destinations for kids to innovate boldly and let their imaginations transport them—and we''re looking forward to doing just that this summer. Goodness knows we’ll all need a break, and our kids will be ready to play and create.

But for the time being, we''re here to support your family through whatever comes, starting with keeping your kids (and you) engaged and inspired while schools are closed. Keep an eye out for DIY projects and other tips in the days and weeks to come. We''re all in this together.

At Galileo''s newly-innovated Spring Break Camp, your kids can keep developing their innovator''s mindset during their school break as they reconnect with the dynamic staff and magic of camp that they love.

Throughout the week''s Deep Ocean Explorers theme, campers will craft art depicting extraordinary ocean dwellers, engineer deep-sea exploration vessels and chart a course for innovation while taking the plunge into an unforgettable underwater adventure.
 

Galileo Spring Break camps will look just like our summer camps, with the same camp schedule, Spring Fling outdoor games, and a few new surprises including a special appearance made by our mascot Spring Chicken who has magical powers that enhance every campers imagination for innovation.

Hi Campers, 

This week we’re focused on the Evaluate and Redesign steps in the Innovator’s Process and the subject couldn’t be more timely.

We start this summer under the clouds of a global pandemic and the racism that is so deeply entrenched in our culture. From coast to coast and beyond, people are looking at American society and actively calling for a redesign that honors and respects Black lives. At Galileo, we are taking an active stand against anti-Blackness and racism. You can read more about our ongoing action here.

It’s also time to evaluate and redesign our daily schedules. School is out and you’re likely looking for ways to create a joyous summer that sparks imagination and keeps kids creating. Check out our growing list of live online classes and free content that aims to address the mix of intentional redesign opportunities in our lives.

Hi Camper Families, 

This week’s theme is Empathy—Innovators need knowledge about the people they are designing for and the place(s) where their designs will be used. Change-making ideas come from spending time to deeply understand the perspectives of others and then designing new, and inclusive, solutions based on those insights.

Building empathy takes both intention and practice so this week, we’re sharing two articles that will support you in teaching your kids to become more empathic and create opportunities for becoming agents of positive change.

Speaking of empathy, we understand that you may be feeling the need to find positive, playful and enriching activities for your kids this summer. Our online camps are ready with a full schedule of innovation-sparking, week-long and single-session classes for kids from pre-K through 8th grade.

6th-8th graders: Learn the fundamentals of vector art and create a digital drawing to adorn your own laser cut bookmark (we’ll cut your final design from vegan leather and send it to you in the mail), or construct a cool duct tape case tailor-made to fit a special object to the T.
