SUNY Geneseo

1. Apply using the SUNY application. Begin here by creating an account and submitting an application. You’ll have an opportunity to tell us more about yourself in the supplemental application.
    
2. Request copies of your college transcripts(s). This will give us a better sense of what courses you’ve completed and what you have in progress. If you have taken classes at more than one college we will recalculate your college gpa.
    
3. Extracurricular activities. We want to know how you spend your time outside the classroom. Geneseo is home to 200+ student clubs and organizations, and we want to admit students who will take advantage of these resources and contribute to our vibrant student life here. So, share with us what you are involved with and committed to outside of the classroom. Part-time work and home responsibilities are important too and should be included on your supplemental application. 
    
4. Be yourself in your essay. What interests you? What do you love to talk about? What are your future career goals (it’s OK if they change)? Think of your essay as a creative way to help your admissions counselor get to know you as a person. This is optional and can be included on your supplemental application.
    
5. Connect with our coordinator of transfer admissions. Just reply to this email and begin the conversation.
