Spring Events at Glastonbury Abbey

Spring heralds longer opening hours with the abbey now open until 6pm (last admission to the abbey is at 5.15pm).

It also marks the start of our event season with theatre, family activities and concerts plus the annual Glastonbury Abbey Medieval Fayre on 18th and 19th April - this year for the first time we have weekend tickets - buy yours today.

Our first theatre performance is Fagin? Dickens failed to provide a backstory to Fagin, so who was he and who was the real man that Dickens based his character on? Join Fagin as he reviews his situation during his final night in prison before being hanged. As madness envelops him he is ''visited'' by some old acquaintances.

Patrick Duff, as the artist in residence at Glastonbury Abbey, is exploring the quality of stillness and presence that presides over the ruins. He is developing his response through a series of sound meditations offered in the beautiful surrounds of Abbey House.
