- Visitors must reserve tickets in advance on our website, selecting ferry times both to and from the Island. Show up 15-30 minutes before your departure time.
- Face coverings are required while boarding and riding our ferries and on the Island.
- Hand washing and sanitizing stations can be found throughout the Island, and increased cleaning protocols are in place.
- Remember to stay 6 feet apart!

AUGUST FERRY TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE
We''ve made more ferry tickets available to reserve on our website. Tickets are now available through the beginning of August for daily Manhattan service and weekend Brooklyn service from Red Hook. Starting today, more tickets will be released every day on a rolling basis. Ticket reservations are required to visit Governors Island this year. See you on the ferry! RED HOOK WEEKEND SERVICE AND FREE FERRIES
Brooklyn ferries run on Saturdays and Sundays out of Red Hook/Atlantic Basin. Enter the ferry landing at the corner of Conover and Pioneer Streets in Red Hook. Governors Island Ferries are always free for NYCHA residents, IDNYC Holders, current and former military servicemembers, kids 12 and under, and seniors 65+. ANNOUNCING: THE GOVERNORS ISLAND RESIDENCY INITIATIVE
The Trust for Governors Island and LMCC are proud to announce the Governors Island Residency Initiative, which will provide free workspaces for roughly 100 artists, cultural workers and creative practitioners in the Island's historic houses in Nolan Park and Colonels Row and LMCC's Arts Center at Governors Island. The Initiative will accommodate a diverse array of residencies curated by 18 organizations from the Island's community of arts and culture programming partners.
