At Great Minds, we're not only teachers. We're also parents. We know that planning ahead and teaching from home can be challenging, especially under current circumstances.
That's why we created Knowledge on the GoT-free daily video lessons in every curriculum and grade we offer: K-12 in Eureka Math?, K-8 in Wit & Wisdom? (English language arts), and 3-5 in PhD ScienceT.
We already have hundreds of consistent, coherent lessons on our website, and we're adding 25 more each day.
Next week, Knowledge on the Go will encourage students to:
Solve word problems by manipulating objects and creating drawings
Observe strength in the face of injustice during the Civil Rights Movement
Develop a solution that might have helped Amelia Earhart avoid the tragic outcome of her flight
And there's much more. The lessons are easy to find and are already having a positive impact on students.
"Thank you for posting Homework Helpers with the Knowledge on the Go videos! Such a help for our families and students!"
-Karen D., elementary math and science coordinator
"All the other resources were just games, and they were not TEACHING my children math. These videos are amazing!!!!"
-Gloria P., parent
"Your 2nd grade lesson is PERFECT and is exactly what I had sent home with my kiddos!"
-Lauren L., teacher
We'd love to hear from you too. Take a look at the free resources we've created, and let us know your thoughts. We're here to answer questions and support you during this time.

When our students succeed, so do we. Learn about the proactive steps we''re taking to ensure learning continues through this difficult time.
Dear Andrew,
When the pandemic drove students from their classrooms, the teachers at Great Minds? took less than a week to stand up Knowledge on the GoT daily video lessons in math, science, and English. Free to anyone, with no strings attached, these 1,500+ videos have been viewed more than 7,000,000 times. Students learned a lot and so did we.
We now know that effective distance learning draws on the same ingredients that are essential inside the classroom-setting and maintaining high expectations for all students and delivering on those expectations with coherent, knowledge-building instruction.
We also learned how valuable it is for us teachers to stand side by side in continuous learning for our nation's youth. To best help our students succeed, we need to strive to be in sync no matter what the situation.
That's why Great Minds will
continue to release new Knowledge on the Go video lessons through June 3 and provide them free to everyone so teachers and students can complete the school year and use the lessons through August 31, and
commit that our teachers will be ready this fall with new Great Minds in Sync continuous learning programs to ensure that your students recover, reengage, and excel.
LEARN MORE
With our new Great Minds in Sync collection of customized digital and print resources, Great Minds teachers will aid with the whole-class instructional lift this fall, allowing classroom teachers the time-and providing them with the tools-to more deeply focus on their students' needs at home and in class.
In addition to the digital and print bundles of the resources all classrooms need, Great Minds in Sync will include a Eureka Math? diagnostic tool that pinpoints gaps and recommends just the right remedy. Wit & Wisdom? video lessons will support writing, prompt discussion, and develop vocabulary. And PhD ScienceT will continue to enthrall students with videotaped investigations accessible from anywhere. Right-sized text libraries and math manipulatives will be available for home use.
VISIT GREAT MINDS IN SYNC
Remember, we are teachers too: More than 75 percent of Great Minds employees are or were classroom teachers. We understand how hard it is to be separated from your classroom. Together, we will be in sync to make sure every child succeeds in the coming year and beyond.
With appreciation,
Great Minds

This isn't the spring break any of us anticipated. Everything is different, from how we get groceries to how we teach our kids.
Hello Andrew,
This isn't the spring break any of us anticipated. Everything has changed, from how we get groceries to how we teach our kids. But one thing remains constant: our commitment to inspiring greatness in our children.
With schools closed, we are all striving to keep young minds engaged. My kids are 11 and 13. My husband and I asked them what they wanted to learn about in depth, and they chose outer space. Then they immersed themselves in watching footage of rocket launches and learning how the launches changed over time.
That was rewarding to see. But, like many parents, my husband and I are also working, and our time for home schooling is short. We have a renewed appreciation for how much teachers do, every day, to build knowledge and inspire creativity and curiosity in students.
We also appreciate how much harder that mission is now. That's why Great Minds PBC stepped in to help by creating coherent, cohesive, knowledge-building video lessons. Most of our employees are current or former teachers. They write our curricula in use in classrooms. Now they're teaching the curricula online.
Knowledge on the GoT is a free, easy-to-use resource covering Grades K-12 in Eureka Math?, Grades K-8 in Wit & Wisdom? (English language arts), and Grades 3-5 in PhD ScienceT.
Hundreds of these video lessons are already available, and we're uploading 25 more every day. We recently added digital Geodes?, our beautifully illustrated and engaging books for emerging readers.
Our goal is to make Knowledge on the Go easy to fit into an everyday routine and accessible to everyone. To equitably serve students without internet access, we are working with school districts to air the lessons on public access or public television channels.
Tell us what you think, and let us know how we can help you.
At Great Minds, we believe every child is capable of greatness. We're committed to you and to helping you inspire greatness in every child.
Sincerely,
? 2020 Great Minds PBC, 55 M Street SE Suite 340, Washington, DC 20003, USA, 202.223.1854
