We meet 100% of demonstrated need. With a $30 million aid budget, Haverford meets the full demonstrated need of all admitted students. This includes international students, undocumented students, and students admitted from the waiting list.
We are committed to minimizing student debt. Students with family income below $60,000 per year will not have loans included in their financial aid package; loan levels for incomes above this threshold remain low, ranging from $1,500 to $3,000 each year. And the Haverford Student Loan Debt Relief Fund provides funds to help young alumni who are employed in jobs of high social value with low remuneration, or who are in transition at some point following graduation.
Our support doesn''t begin and end with your financial aid package. There are a number of ways Haverford is considering access and affordability throughout the entire student life-cycle, and not just in terms of covering tuition. This includes making all campus events free for students, providing support for students to study abroad and do summer internships, and our LIFTFAR program which provides assistance to students for opportunities or unforeseen expenses that are financially out of reach. The New York Times wrote about our innovative program. Read the article. |
